Naveen was professional, friendly, helpful and funny.
I had a great holiday and felt well supported from booking, right through the whole trip.
Taj Mahal visit, the cookery lesson and the Christmas morning experience (Hindu temple, flower market, street food, observatory).
Naveen was an excellent leader. He gelled with everyone in the group and made us feel welcome, safe and looked after for the whole duration. He explained what was happening at every stage of the trip, ensuring we have the right information at the right time. He was flexible in his approach, always ensuring we had the best possible experience. He provided a range of helpful advice and guidance, and became a friend to everyone.
Excellent itinerary developed locally by experienced knowledgeable guides. Good hotels and friendly guides with excellent knowledge and skills to keep us safe

Naveen is an excellent guide. He is organised and totally on top of things at all times. He exudes an air of confidence which he instils in the group in the apparent 'chaos' of India to a first time visitor. He has excellent knowledge of India and the region and was ever helpful and attendant
Fast paced, great itinerary, fabulous sites and much more. We throughly enjoyed the trip, lots of variety of sites and activities.
The Taj Mahal was pretty special, Delhi was amazing, and the camel cart ride great fun.
Jitan was a great facilitator and leader. From our first meeting he was friendly but professional. He tried to meet everyone’s needs and to ensure everyone had the best trip - he succeeded.
Be prepared for some long bus travel.
This is our second trip with exodus and like the first was top class with good organisation and great activities
Taj Mahal at sunset Camel cart ride Cycle rickshaw through old Delhi Hindu ceremony
Jitan was a fabulous coordinator - we knew exactly what we were doing and when and he used WhatsApp to follow up on arrangements. He was very helpful in sourcing things the group needed.
I honestly can’t recommend this trip enough. From start to finish, it was full of unforgettable moments and thoughtful touches. We travelled through Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, and everything was so well organised – it was the perfect introduction to India. One of my favourite memories was being greeted with flower wreaths at a Jaipur flower market—it felt so personal and welcoming. The visit to the Taj Mahal was obviously a highlight, but there were so many other surprises too. Staying at Suroth Mahal, a 600 year old heritage hotel, was something special. After a short cooking demonstration, they even put on a traditional Indian wrestling match in the courtyard, which none of us were expecting! We also had an optional stop at Chand Baori stepwell—recognised it from the Batman film, The Dark Knight! It also wasn’t just bus journeys – we were on camel carts, cycle rickshaws, and it was in these moments you really got to see the chaotic but beautiful pace of life in India. The food was another major highlight for me. I went in expecting curry and naan, but it was so much more varied and regional than I thought. The evening cooking demonstration in Jaipur was a real treat too—we learned how to make things like masala chai, lentil pakoras and korwan aloo, and it gave me a whole new appreciation for the flavours and how fresh everything is. We even got to try some street food chai and sweet jalebi!
One of the most inspiring moments of the trip was seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise. I’d braced myself for big crowds, but it was surprisingly calm and quiet. The early light gave the marble this soft, warm glow, and there was plenty of space to just take it all in. The temperatures were already warming up but still pleasant, and the whole place felt really peaceful — not what I expected at all. I’d seen so many photos before going, but nothing really prepares you for being there in person. It was one of those rare travel moments that felt completely unhurried.
Our leader, Mayank, was exceptional — knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely passionate about sharing India’s history and culture. The itinerary was perfectly paced: the chaos of Old Delhi, the serenity of the Taj Mahal at sunrise, the grandeur of the Amber Fort in Jaipur. Each place had a story, and Mayank brought it all to life. Even on the bus journeys, he chatted about history, religion, politics and the local way of life to give us further insight into the country's fascinating culture.
If you're thinking about doing this trip—do it! A couple of tips from someone who's just come back: pack light and bring comfy shoes because you’re on the go quite a bit, and some streets and markets are pretty uneven. Oh, and carry a bit of hand sanitiser and maybe a few snacks for the longer bus rides. Dark coloured temple socks were also a big help when walking around the temples barefoot in the heat. My favourite mosquito repellent is "Incognito", it really works in keeping the bites at bay. Other than that - come with an open mind and try everything!
Just got back from India, and a few things really stood out: seeing the Taj Mahal up close was just incredible. I also ate so much delicious Indian food—each meal was a highlight on its own. And our local leader, Ajay, was fantastic; his sense of humor and all the interesting cultural insights he shared added so much to the experience.
Its an excellent introduction to the wonderful sights, smells and colours of India.
I enjoyed our stay in the village, staying in a heritage hotel and it felt like the real India. I loved the food .
Vivek is an excellent tour leader going out of his way to make sure we all enjoyed our trip.
This is a full on tour with quite a bit of driving, but there is so much to see from the minibus.
“Booking process was good with right amount of communication before we travelled.
Tour leader was very good and friendly.
Good way to see the golden triangle in a short space of time. “
