Kanha Tiger Reserve, in central India , is one of the last strongholds of the Bengal tiger. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1968, it remains one of the country’s most important tiger landscapes. Yet tigers still faces growing pressure. – from poaching and the expansion of nearby villages into their habitat.
The Corbett Foundation, supported by the Exodus Adventure Travels Foundation, is working to protect this landscape through the Tiger Habitat Project. The focus is simple – reducinge human–wildlife conflict, restoringe natural habitats, and supporting the communities living alongside wildlife.
