Many of our cycling itineraries in Europe and across the world now have the option of hiring an e-bike. A few trips even come with them as standard. An e-bike is similar to a regular bicycle, with the addition of a battery-powered ‘pedal assist’ to give you a boost when you need it.

Easy to use, e-bikes have become more popular for the daily commute, but they are equally valuable for cycling holidays, taking the strain out of consecutive cycling days, to ensure your holiday is just that, a holiday!

If you need a little assistance on those daunting hill climbs or you’d simply like to take things more leisurely, then consider opting for an e-bike. These electric-powered cycles are emission-free and can really level the playing field on a cycling trip. Opting to ride one could make a specific trip more suitable for friends or partners with different fitness or experience, or make a tougher route a more realistic proposition. You can choose to use the battery power as much or as little you wish and having it there as a backup just gives you that extra confidence to enable you to enjoy your cycling trip.
