Solo Travel Holidays

What our travellers say

Here’s what some of our past solo travellers had to say:

“Exceptional! After decades of solo travel, doing it all myself, this was a game changer being in a small group…I like my space a lot yet everyone was so authentic, like-minded.”

– Arlette Lee, Exodus Traveller

“The trips are so well organised. I like to travel alone which is well catered for on their holidays, as there are often several other singles on their trips.”

– Gary Brooks, Exodus Traveller

Go Your Own Way As A Solo Traveller

If you’re looking to travel solo, but not alone, you’ve come to the right place. We offer incredible holidays ideal for solo travellers where you can explore with a group of like-minded people who share your passion for travel.

Travelling solo may seem like a daunting idea at first, but it can also kickstart a renewed sense of adventure. And on our guided group trips, you have the reassurance of travelling with a leader as well as the chance to connect with others in your group.

Trekking to new summits, cycling along new coastal paths, delving into completely new cultures, or spotting some of the world’s most elusive wildlife is more exciting when you get to share the experience with other travellers – and it’s moments like these which often spark friendships that can last a lifetime. This is just one of the reasons why over 50% of our customers choose to travel solo with us.

Another plus is that you’ll benefit from our expert guide’s unrivalled local knowledge, so you can discover places you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. Travelling with an organised group also gives you that added peace of mind, in knowing everything is planned for you.

You can also choose to book a room to yourself for the entirety of your trip, at a reasonable cost. So why wait to travel solo with us and meet like-minded travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand on your next adventure? Our collection of trips are the perfect holidays for solo travellers. Get inspired by browsing our most popular adventures below or speak to a member of our team today.

FAQs when choosing a solo travel tour

Can I get my own room when I travel solo?

On our adventures, we offer twin-shared rooms with you and a traveller in your group of the same gender. But if you’d like the flexibility to book your own private room for the duration of your trip, you can choose to add a single supplement to your booking over the phone or online on the majority of our trips, for a small added charge.

What makes Exodus Travels small group tours a good choice for solo travellers?

Our small guided-group tours are all led by experienced local experts and normally have around 8-16 people in one group. We pride ourselves on having an interest-packed set itinerary that’s been fine-tuned to showcase the best highlights and hidden gems your destination has to offer.

We also like to encourage an inclusive atmosphere with our guided-group adventures, so most days are spent taking part in daily activities with your group. When it comes to mealtimes, check your trip notes to see what breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included in our itineraries. On some evenings, your guide will accompany you to dinner and help you choose which regional specialities to try. However, we also like to include some downtime and free days on our trips, where you have the freedom to explore as you like and heed the guidance of our local expert, who will give great suggestions of where to eat, the best museums and local art galleries to visit or help you organise optional activities like kayaking, ziplining and more.

What will my group be like?

We’re lucky to have travellers joining us from all over the world, with many coming from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, in a wide range of ages. And what’s more, is that over 50% of our customers choose to travel solo with us so we rarely have a group that only has one solo traveller – most comprise a good mix of solos, couples, and friends travelling together.

Prior to your trip, why not join in the discussion on our Facebook community group, The Boot Room. It’s a space for our Exodus adventurers—where you can post a message, start a discussion with other travellers, ask questions, and share travel tips. This is a great way to get to know your group before you head off on your adventure.

Is it cheaper to travel in a group?

You may be surprised but travelling on a guided-group tour can be more cost-effective than travelling solo on your own, as you have the opportunity to split the cost of some optional activities with the group as you go. The majority of transfers, included meals and organised activities are also covered in your booking costs too, which can all add up if you’re travelling alone, especially if you’re looking to travel in remote locations.

The trip was everything I’d hoped for and more! From the stunning ancient streets of Dubrovnik to the serene beauty of the islands, every moment was perfectly curated. The itinerary struck a brilliant balance of cultural immersion, active exploration, and essential relaxation, allowing us to truly soak in the magic of Croatia. The organisation was flawless, and the local insights provided were invaluable. I loved every minute and would highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in a truly breathtaking part of the world!

This trip was stunning and up there with one of the best I have done with Exodus. You can chose between grade 3 and grade 5 walks every day, which gives you the freedom to decide how challenging your days are. I opted for grade 5 every day and chose to enjoy my free day at thr QC Terme Dolomiti spa which was a welcomed relax between the walks. The weather was stunning during the days and walks varied, every walk was breath taking and offered something different, even though I don’t think you could ever get bored of the scenary. Campitello di fassa was a lovely town to be based in, it has everything you needed without feeling too big or busy.

We visited in March 2025 and there were no reviews for this trip prior to our date of travel. We added on two nights before and also after the trip in Delhi to allow us to do an in depth private day tour of the city plus visit the national museum and modern art gallery. We also had a little bit of down time at the end of the trip and we opted to stay in the Taj Hotel which was fabulous.
There were only five people in our group and our guide was Ajay Gupta. We had a brand new minibus for travel and we had plenty of room to stretch out. The itinerary is pretty busy and you are never bored. At the time we visited there was absolutely no rain and the temperatures varied between high 20s to low 30s degrees C and these are the temperatures in the shade.
We really enjoyed visiting the various temples and mosques and the walking tour of old Delhi has to be a highlight. We hardly saw another tourist during this walk and our guide was lovely. The noise, colours and smells are exhilarating and we particularly enjoyed the tuk tuk and rickshaw rides. The three cities on this tour are all very different and each has its own charms. The food in India is wonderful and another highlight was the cooking lesson at the family home and then enjoying eating what you had made. The quality of the hotels used was very good and we particularly enjoyed the Neemrana Fort Hotel and the Tigress at Ranthambore.
I really wanted to rate this trip 4.5 stars, but the site will only let me use whole stars. My advice to Exodus is to consider adding on a third, optional game drive at Ranthambore as unfortunately we did not see any tigers as you are pre-allocated a zone for each game drive. Also we did not see the point of the train trip between Bharatpur to Agra as the trains are grubby and overcrowded and we waited around at the station for quite a while before the departure. We were also warned not to use the facilities on board.
