Winter Holidays in Norway

Norway Winter Holidays

The trip crams a lot into 3 full days, but doesn’t feel rushed. There’s plenty of amazing sights to see, including stunning waterfalls, black beaches, geysers and the highlight was walking on the glacier – we had perfect weather with blue skies! The tour is well thought-out, and despite there being a fair amount of driving, it doesn’t feel like there is due to the amazing scenery and comfortable transportation (plus everywhere we went in Iceland had 4G/5G phone signal).

Gareth B Iceland Northern Lights

A brilliant “taster” holiday with so many different activities on offer and all in beautiful deep snow. Every day offered a new experience, either as part of the programme or as an option: snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, husky-sledding, visiting a reindeer farm, building a quinzee, downhill skiing and snowmobiling.
During the afternoon downtime there was the option to do more snow-shoeing, cross- country skiing, tobogganing outside or just read with a cup of tea or glass of wine or relax in the hot tub and sauna.
The food was delicious and plentiful. Soft drinks were always available as part of the package and wine, beer and other drinks were available to buy along with chocolate and snacks. You will notice how frequently berries appear: in desserts, soft drinks, liqueurs and chocolate bars in shops.

Nathalie Shillito Finnish Wilderness Week

The grade 2 holiday was challenging enough for me. The temperature was a bit high for really good conditions but Michele, the Group Leader, made sure we went to the best places. The hotel was very good and the food high quality., as were our lunch stop restaurants. The group had mixed experience but Michele coped well with this.

What type of activities do you offer?

The main activity for our winter holidays in Norway is cross-country skiing. Each tour offers varied tracks across the wilderness and are suitable for all abilities, however, there are opportunities to take part in a number of different types of winter adventures. While our Arctic lights and whales tour gives you the chance to explore northern Norway, and board a boat to whale watch.

Of course, winter holidays in Norway are all about being outside – so there are opportunities a-plenty for you to explore on foot the stunning terrain.

How long are the winter trips to Norway?

Our winter holidays to Norway range from five to eight days. For longer excursions, one of our cross-country skiing voyages through Kvitavatn, Venabu, Mosstrond or Kamben could be the perfect solution for you.

Are the Norway winter trips guided?

Yes, all of our Norway winter holidays come with an expert tour guide included. They’ll know the country better than anyone, and their unique insights into the local culture will really help you get to the heart of this beautiful nation. They’ll also be able to point out the best spots for photo opportunities as well as opening your eyes to some hidden treasures, away from the beaten track. Guided is the way to go!
