Well organised and led by the guide Francesca and the 2 drivers Mario and Graziano. Lots of amazing scenery and history.

Superb!
Even at end of September was very hot so be prepared.
A fabulous trip with stunning views, excellent local restaurants and amazing company.
Be prepared for steep, short climbs (assisted with s rope!), giggles with guides, fantastic restaurant recommendations and leisurely walks too.
I have learnt so much about the wildlife and vegetation there from the guides.
Splashing in the waves on day 2, then strolling along the sandy beach barefoot - wonderful
Inês and Luis were great fun, so knowledgeable and supportive. They made the trip an absolute pleasure
Make sure you bring a light shower coat, shorts are fine but walking shoes:boots essential really. Make use of the lovely pools and river (in Vila Nova Millflores) as it eases your tired muscles
The island has a fascinating history and it was good to try to understand the recent history that has created North Cyprus, whilst participating in walks with great scenery. Plus visits to castles, abbeys and monasteries. Made even better by a great group of fellow travellers. The Pia Bella Hotel rooms are spacious and of excellent quality and good air conditioning. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice. But if you favour European continental breakfast, there is no fish, very little meat and no pastries or croissants. There is an excellent pool, open till 6pm. The bar was often busy but service was good and prices competitive.
The view from the top of Kantara Castle, where you can see both the north and south coasts of the island. The optional trip to Famagusta was well worth taking - so full of history - both ancient and modern. And the cave at Incirli.
Gizer is an excellent guide and a great ambassador for his country. His knowledge of the full history of the island is extensive, which he imparts in an easy to understand, meaningful way. His restaurant recommendations were excellent. And good value.
A couple of the walks are quite long and intense on loose surfaces. Ensure you have good walking boots/shoes with grippy soles. Use of poles is recommended. Euros are widely accepted, but paying in Lira offers better value. Contactless is widely accepted, but paying in cash for a beer or coffee preferable. Some days are long but usually return in time for a quick swim in the excellent pool.
Perfect combination of cycling, sightseeing and fun!
Reaching the top of Cavagrande del Cassibile, one of the deepest canyons in Europe in blistering heat - using only pedal power, to be rewarded by a wonderful picnic lunch prepared by Davide and the minibus driver, Giuseppe.
Davide was spot on for this trip. He gave us all confidence in our abilities to enable us to get the most out of the trip. His passion and love for Sicily was evident throughout, an amazing ambassador for his island. There can't be enough hours in the day for all the things Davide sorted out - restaurants, transfers, bike changes - nothing was too much trouble. And what a great sense of humour - he loved learning new English idioms and trying to use them on a daily basis.
Be prepared for heat and hills - the rewards will far outweigh the effort! Be prepared to try new foods - the flavours are vibrant and bold. Be prepared to cycle in traffic - the group leader will ensure you are safe. Go for an e-bike if you are not confident - it would be a shame to miss out on this awesome trip.
Please note you will be told, by Exodus, that your luggage will be put through at San Paulo and this is absolutely not the case. You will need to recheck your luggage. This caused people to miss their connections/sprint to catch their connection. I asked for a longer connection time and Exodus said no causing unnecessary stress. The tour leader, Tony, was absolutely lush and very knowledgeable and if there was an animal to spot he spotted it. Arasas Lodge is nice, but in reality the itinerary was really lacking here with several hours to kill between activities (10-4pm). It felt like a last minute add on as they couldn’t just make the trip 4 days. I would say the cost of the trip really is not good value for money and sadly I could not recommend this trip though we did see the jaguars.
Seeing the jaguar.
Tony was worth his weight in gold!
I would not recommend this trip.
Awesome trip with a home base in an amazing hotel with great views, pool and breakfast buffet. The walks were different terrain every day, beautiful scenery. Gizer was an excellent, knowledgeable, funny guide. He arranged dinners, trips, could not ask for a better leader of the group. The only complaint: very hot weather that made the hiking less enjoyable than ideal. Definitely recommended!
Must take the day trip to Famagusta and Dalamis!
Excellent!
Be ready for hot weather.
The scenery, the wildlife and Whistler!
JP was such a great tour guide/driver, he was really welcoming and made every day entertaining and interesting, even on the day we had our long drive. He made sure we stopped often, even if it were for 10 mins, just to see more waterfalls or lakes! He really went out of his way to ensure everyone enjoyed the trip and knew what was happening each day and were safe. He was brilliant at adapting even on the days when a road closure meant we had to divert. He had great food recommendations as well for our dinners or just coffee.
An excellent, well organised trip led by J-P. Despite a group with a wide age range and mixed ability his organisational skills, empathy ,great sense of humour and determination that we should all enjoy the trip facilitated the trip of a lifetime for all of us. The Rockies are stunning and we had gloriouis weather for the most part. The day it snowed was when we walked on the glacier so added to the authenticity. The trip was a good combination of sights to see and trails to walk and there was no pressure. The hotels or lodges were all very comfortable as was the minivan where everyone took in turns to enjoy the more scenic seats. It was good having 20 year olds in the group. Meals out together were great fun. My expectations for the holiday were high. they were surpassed
SEEING A LARGE MOOSE IN ITS NATURAL SURROUNDINGS Moraine Lake walking on the glacier and meeting the NASA scientists
Excellent. J-P was instrumental in the success of this trip. His organisational skills, empathy ,sense of humour and determination to make the trip memorable for all of us was commendable. He cared a lot. He is also a very good driver, calm and skilful.
Take your binoculars. Good mixture of sightseeing, hiking and love of the great outdoors. The scenery is stunning
The Walking in Puglia and Matera guided tour gives an excellent introduction to the heel of Italy. This trip stayed at three hotels, all very good. Comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast choices plus swimming pools at two of the three. The walking was varied from strolling through olive groves in Puglia to scrambling around the rocky gorge at Matera. The towns with trulli houses and the incredible rock city of Matera were memorable.
So many highlights! The best day we walked down through olive groves of ancient characterful trees to the coast, where we swam in the Adriatic and had a delicious sea-food lunch.
Gabriele was the best leader you could wish for: kind, knowledgeable and unfailingly enthusiastic, he went above and beyond to deal with unexpected problems and ensure we all had a wonderful time. The good comradeship of the group was in large part down to his efforts. Brilliant!
It was unexpectedly hot in late September at over 30 degrees. Bring water flasks/bladders - we were drinking 2 to 3 litres each on the longer walks (8 miles). In most places the tap water is safe, but not at the rural masseria hotel. Proper walking boots and poles were a huge help in the walking around the Matera gorge, and sturdy walking shoes or sandals with good grips are essential for the slippery limestone steps and paving of the city's steep streets.
A brilliant trip all round. The cycling, accommodation, food, bikes – all excellent. Variety of coastal roads, forest paths, villages. Good road surfaces. Liked the hotel to hotel cycling nature of the week.
Zooming downhill at a speed never reached before!
Ruben was a superb leader. Joao too, they made a great team. Ruben was attentive, friendly, ensured all were happy and well organised. His warmth and love for his country came through at all times. A briefing at the end of the day provided a summary, forecast for what to expect the next day and great recommendations and advice about what to see and where to go for dinner. This was followed up with reservations made and maps to make sure we got there! Joao was a great driver, back up and picnic provider. Nothing was too much trouble. Can honestly say they are the best team I have had on my various Exodus holidays.
Enjoy! The pace is leisurely and plenty of time to regain your breath after the odd hill!
