Cycling in Tuscany with Exodus Travels

Some of the best road cycling in Tuscany can be found in the north of the region. On this trip we discover the iconic city of Pisa, ride through quiet mediaeval villages and the glorious landscape that connects them and savour a huge range of delicious food and wine. This was my 12th Exodus cycling trip and this was one of the most fantastic!
The countryside and mountains are among the most beautiful in Europe.
Our group leader was outstanding, taking care of our many different needs and organising some of the best meals we’ve had.

We had the best guide I’ve ever encountered. His name is Armand and he is the most ressourceful/knowledgeable guide I’ve ever seen. The driver Arsene was also super friendly and professionnal. It’s not for the faint of heart because there is a LOT of elevation but for anyone decently fit it is qui pleasurable. We had the most amazing views everywhere we went and everything was well planned out and smooth.

Porto and Lisbon are fabulous places to discover if you have a few days and love coffee shops. Lots to do there,lots to see,eat and drink. I could happily spend 3 or 4 days in each city. Some of the small fishing ports were fab too. On the whole it was a little too windy cycling along the coast and uphill but i’m glad I did the trip.
