Hot and exhilarating
Lots of fun with a great group of like minded individuals and plenty of good local knowledge thrown in the mix.
Most Inspirational Moment
1st and 2nd day on the new tarmac riding through majestic alpine like valleys and passes
Thoughts on Group Leader
Great - Juli was cool under pressure, sometimes a little disorganised but always with our wishes and requirements foremost in the planning. Plenty of good advice for alternative options should we be up for it. I enjoyed the "fixer" attitude!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Maybe try to avoid the hottest weeks for your tour.

Just what we wanted!
We have had a great time during this trip. Excellent group of peers, great leader, beautiful cycling, great food
Most Inspirational Moment
The last day was inspiring from a sports perspective. The early part of the trip is very relaxing in green and mountains
Thoughts on Group Leader
Friendly, very experienced. He gave us framework and leeway at the same time
Advice for Potential Travellers
Mid-June is almost too late in the season: High temperatures and cycling and ascent are difficult to accommodate

Excellent in spite of an emergency
Excellent 2 weeks in central Asia which i thoroughly recommend to others. The first week was in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan – lots of outdoor activities. The second week in Uzbekistan was more sightseeing which was a good contrast. very nice group of fellow travellers.
Most Inspirational Moment
seeing the night sky and the milky way when we were staying in the Yurt
The eagle hunting display

Vitaly for the first week was excellent - knowledgeable and a good organiser.
Dilshshod in Uzbekistan was something else. A wonderful and caring man. Not only was he an excellent leader but he went way beyond the call of duty when I had a serious health emergency in Samarkand. I suffered from a TIA and had to be blue lighted to the hospital where i stayed two days. Dilshod came with me and my wife in the ambulance. He liaised with the hospital staff which was really necessary as none of the doctors spoke any English. He visited me while i was there and was essential to allow communication between me and the medical staff. Dilshod was not just helping out he obviously really cared about my welfare. We would have been really stuck without him- thank you Dilshod. The exodus staff back in London were also very good - very concerned and eager to do all they could to assist -thanks to Max Bickerstaffe and Joe Figueiredo plus others whose names have escaped me.
Advice for Potential Travellers
On Day2, the optional hike to the waterfall in the Ala-Alcha Gorge is quite strenuous. Certainly more effort than a day hiking on a moderate Exodus hiking trip. But you can always turn back if you get tired!

Magnificent Mont Blanc!
Wonderful week walking around Chamonix-Mont Blanc. Well-planned routes taking in all aspects of the Chamonix valley plus Val Ferret. Stunning views of jagged mountain peaks above flower-strewn meadows, with snowy Mont Blanc looming over all.
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking across Alpine meadows in the beautiful Val Ferret looking up to the towering peaks and glaciers of the Grandes Jorasses.

Our lovely mixed-age group were so fortunate to be guided by Agustin with his excellent knowledge of the mountains and hiking paths – challenging walks for some (including me!) but his calm and friendly support, with understanding of individual abilities, made them all hugely enjoyable.
Advice for Potential Travellers
The chalet hosts Tomas and Sol worked tirelessly with quiet efficiency to provide us with delicious meals and comfortable rooms, as well as driving us to the start of walks when public transport was unavailable. With Agustin, they were a great team that made our holiday a joyful and memorable experience.

I’m still breathless
We’ve been cycling with Exodus for 10 years or so and the last couple of trips have disappointed but this one restored my faith. It’s pretty full on, with a varied program, and we were pretty exhausted by the end, but happily so. Bali has a reputation as the Aussies’ Blackpool and certainly the areas around the airport and Ubud are choked with traffic and full of tourist tat. The great thing about this trip was that we ventured into areas where westerners rarely go – the central mountains and the north coast were particularly quiet and gorgeous.
The east of Java was, possibly, even lovelier.
Most Inspirational Moment
I loved the day climbing up to Batur’s caldera and then descending down to the crater floor where we crossed an old lava flow. The snorkeling was also awesome. I even enjoyed the night at the homestay near Ijen, though don’t forget to bring a sense of humour in view of the paper thin walls
Thoughts on Group Leader
Wira is probably the best leader I’ve met on Exodus trips. Very calm, very organized. He was aided by his crew- I’m not sure how many of them there were but we always had three guys marshaling us on the rides and we also had our own chef who provided some super picnic lunches. Nice guys particularly Aan who always had a smile and learnt our names instantly.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Another review has mentioned the traffic. Most of the time we rode quiet lanes but there certainly were some busy stretches. Indonesian drivers are a more tolerant bunch than their equivalent in the UK. There were no two finger salutes or obscene hand gestures or verbal abuse. Stick close to the left side of the road and you will be fine

Mountains & Villages of Corsica
Hotel was far below the expectations I have when compared with the 4 other hikes I have made with Exodus. food was great, service at table was bad in the beginning but got better over time.
Most Inspirational Moment
I always enjoy the group with which I am hiking. Nice to meet people from other parts of the world. the hiking trips are a love of my significant other so I take the trips and like most the commraderie
Thoughts on Group Leader
Roberta was great as she had been for us on the Amafi coast hike a few years ago
Advice for Potential Travellers
The hike is more difficult than other hikes i have taken. It is rated as a 3 but parts of it are more difficult than this has been on other hikes rated a 3. A 3 is described as being acceptable for people with no hiking experience. I disagree that this would be something for people with no hiking experience.

Varied Cycling through four countries.
Nice opportunity to spent a couple of weeks cycling through varied terrain and four countries. Most of the time is spent in Montenegro, which is a very mountainous country.
Most Inspirational Moment
The day riding into Kotor was a highlight of the trip.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader was full on in looking after us, but could use some more historical knowledge.
Advice for Potential Travellers
We had a variety of weather on the trip from some rain and cool to some hot weather, so be prepared for a variety of weather. We travelled May 25 to June 7. By mid June it was quite hot, 30C plus.

Wonderful week in stunning Transylvania
Memorable cycling trip in mainly rural Transylvania: great crew, lovely and varied accommodation – an amazing experience.
Most Inspirational Moment
No one moment, just enjoyed the beautiful landscapes, learning about the history and culture, fab company and good wine.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We couldn’t have asked for better than Cristina, with Vlad in support. We had such fun, a great insight to Romanian life and we were so well looked after.
Advice for Potential Travellers
You’ll love it! We had very hot weather, but I know it can be variable in that region so be prepared for anything. Most meals are covered so you don’t need huge amounts of cash.

Amazing Country Disappointing Guiding
A trip through some amazing and varied landscapes staying in lovely local guest houses and nice hotels. Somewhat ruined by poor guiding.
Most Inspirational Moment
Cycling through incredible, breathtaking landscapes on quiet roads.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Terrible. He was not really present. He was distracted and unhelpful and often rude.
