One of the two best trips of my life
Overall this was the trip of a lifetime. Spending three weeks in Peru was worth every minute, from the Anthropological and Archaeological museum in Lima, through the Ballestos islands, flying over the Nazca lines, the Altiplano with volcanoes and the most gorgeous flamingos, Colca Canyon and the condors, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, The Sacred Valley, the Maras saltworks and Moray Inca agricultural research station (if that is what it was) and Machu Picchu. The Peruvian people, their food, their cities. The Andes. The geology, the wildlife. It truly was a cornucopia of delights. We were very lucky with the weather, which was well nigh perfect.
The trip was very well planned and allowed plenty of time for acclimatisation, so that by the time we arrived at Cusco, we were quite at home with the altitude. We had chosen not to do one of the hikes to or near Machu Picchu and instead spent an extra three days in Cusco. We were largely left on our own but Exodus and our tour guide had arranged and advised us on the activities we wanted to do. It worked out very well and we didn’t exhaust all the extra museums, art galleries, restaurants nor do all the day trips etc. that were available. We were very happy with our choice and we had a lot to discuss with our more active tour companions when they returned to Cusco.
Most Inspirational Moment
Probably standing at 5,000m, with a 300 degree panorama round the rainbow hills at Hanchipacha. This wasn't part of the official itinerary and we did it on one of our free days (we did not do the Inca Trail). We lucked out with the weather and the resulting photo now dominates a complete wall in our house. Honourable mentions to:
The condors which came out for us at Colca Canyon. They were breathtaking.
Seeing a very large anaconda in Amazonia.

Reni was excellent. The depth of his experience was telling. He worked really hard to look after everyone and make sure we stayed safe and got the very best experiences possible. 10/10
Advice for Potential Travellers
The only negative was some of the bus driving. We had a long trip one day and we had a second, younger, bus driver who was doing insane things at night, on a winding road with oncoming fuel tankers. It was very scary and dangerous and our tour guide spoke to the driver in Spanish. Things improved but it should not have got to this point.

Walking The Great Wall
Most enjoyable trip accompanied by a fun group of fellow walkers and an enthusiastic guide. Would have been 5* BUT a lazy attitude by, i take it, the local tour operator who when given months notice of one of the days hiking having to be altered due to a closed/dangerous section only replaced it with a makeshift day.

Amazing sights in Patagonia
What a fantastic itinerary Exodus have put together for this trip. From bustling Buenos Aries with its steaks to die for to stunning sunrises on Mt Fitzroy, we experienced it all. Another highlight was Perito Moreno The worlds quickest moving glacier ringed by the snow capped Andes, A quick hop across the border to Chile brings you face to face with the mind blowing Torres Del Paine National Park before ending at the worlds end Ushuaia and it’s penguins and brilliant wildlife. Without doubt the trip of a lifetime.
Most Inspirational Moment
Seeing the granite horns in the Torres Del Paine National Park, for as long as i can remember I’ve looked in awe at the mountains in magazines but to see them face to face was a dream realised.

Xavier, was good in lots of ways, friendly and as helpful as he could be, often going out of his way to ensure others enjoyed their holidays.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take hundreds of pictures and soak in that amazing scenery.

Patagonian Highlights
This trip was all that we had hoped for- and more. We travelled a lot, yet each day brought us something new & exciting. Fantastic awe inspiring scenery, wonderful wildlife (condors & even a puma, to name but a few) & such lovely people,

The ascent to the bases of Mount Fitzroy and Torres del Paine in glorious weather, along with viewing the Mereno Glacier at such close proximity plus seeing a puma so close to where we were walking

Xavier was such a great leader. He was so enthusiastic & knowledgable about his country & worked so hard to ensure we had a really good holiday.

Nile/
An exceptional tour well put together.
There were early starts but it was cooler and less crowded when you arrived at the site. Usually was time to relax later in the day.
Most Inspirational Moment
For myself it was standing at the base of Kufu's pyramid and being amazed at the enormity of the structure, no amount of reading and photographs can prepare you for the scale

Our group leader was Tarek who was fantastic. He was so relaxed and easy going.
It was obvious his love for the history of the Egyptians and his country. He really brought to life the time of the Pharoes and their achievements.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Do not waste time going online to sort the visas out, there are no end of scam sites and the official one is hopeless.
When you arrive in Egypt you can purchase the visa before going through passport control.

Portugal Cycling Tour
Lucky that we had a late Oct ride with 25 C temperatures.
Great guides and well working bikes.
The mostly flat terrain was pleasant and interesting.
The meals were excellent, like a gastronomic tour!

The really steep hill to the Obidos castle on the last day.

A little more historical/cultural information would have been nice.

There are a couple of high bridges that persons with height issues (me) may want to get a van ride across.

A brilliant holiday
This has been a successful trip in every sense. We are well travelled with Exodus and this ranks high in our experiences.
Most Inspirational Moment
It is hard to choose one but high up on the list of memorable things:
* walking in spectacular mountain scenery - Mount Fitzroy, Torre, Torres del Paine (great weather helped no doubt);
* standing close to the Perito Merino glacier listening to the cracks and groans of the ice as lumps fell away;
* seeing the local wild life - many birds, guanaco, fox, hare armadillo, penguins, seals and even a puma!;
* experiencing the Patagonian wind en route to Torres del Paine. For location certainly one of the most memorable hotels we have stayed.
* the coach drives which gave a clear picture of the vastness of the grasslands in this part of the world.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Xavier was a star! His local knowledge of all aspects of Argentina and Chile is extensive. He shared this willingly with the group at large or with individuals. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to make sure that things went well and that the group was having a good time.
He was always ready with recommendations for an optional visit, for somewhere to eat, for what we would need for any part of our trip.
He also wanted to know about us as individuals and told us about himself (not always the case with Exodus leaders in my experience)
Advice for Potential Travellers
There are a couple of things:
* layers of clothes are the order of he day. The weather is changeable (we had snow, rain and sunshine all in one day!) and it can be very cold.
* "water for the coach drives as well as something to nibble on@ was helpful advice we were given.
* for photographers don't forget a spare battery and extra cards - the scenery is spectacular.
* for those who are not used to eating red meat, don't worry. We had plenty of options when it came to choosing what to eat. On the other hand don't miss out on the steaks - they are seriously large but delicious.

An incredible, stunning, strange and wonderful experience
The organisation and support from the entirely local team running the trip was absolutely exceptional. NK, the group leader, was faultless – calm, fun, supportive, organised, knowledgeable, entertaining. He led an exceptional team of drivers, cooks, mountain bikers/mechanics/guides, who all made the trip utterly fantastic. Breathtaking scenery, well maintained bikes, a good variety of routes – grassy Steppes, mountains, lakes and rivers. Gorgeous camp locations. Fascinating visits to a nomadic family, the capital and the ancient capital. It was a wonderful trip.
Most Inspirational Moment
It is really difficult to choose one - the most inspirational moment was often every single morning, setting off after a hearty breakfast to (usually!) crisp blue skies, early morning sun, herds of animals across the Steppes, distant ger tents. Just magical. Staying up late one night to see the stars on a very clear night was very special. The lamb roasted in the traditional way with hot stones from a fire one evening was very special too.

NK was himself an inspiration. He truly was mindblowing - great fun, extremely knowledgeable. methodical, efficient, well organised. I was in awe of him! Can’t thank him enough for making the trip so amazing.
Advice for Potential Travellers
It got very cold at night on this last tour of the season... down to -5 on occasions. But still up to 20 degrees sometimes in the day. So being equipped for the temperature change and range is critical for your enjoyment of the trip - I was pretty cold at night, and setting off in the morning I was dressed up like for skiing, and then rapidly had to strip off layers as the temperature shoots up in the mornings.

Stuart Elks - Wells Cathedral School
Our trip to Nepal was wonderful. We were hosted incredibly well by Pasang and his team right from the airport where we were met and transported to the Royal Singi Hotel.
All movements, interactions and correspondence throughout the trip were excellent!

Meeting the local Nepalese people who live in the Himalaya and exist in such hardships.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Pasang was outstanding! He was incredibly perceptive, understanding, communicative and showed true leadership by keeping all of us from any of the problems that he encountered along the way.
I would definitely recommend him to others. He is a true professional and a brilliant ambassador.
Advice for Potential Travellers
To bring vitamins and dry fruit bars as the food available in the foot hills is incredibly carbohydrate heavy.
To bring sun cream, a light coloured, thin buff.
To bring lip salve/sun block.
To make sure that you have enough local currency to pay for things each night. The ATM's in Namche did not work.

Guiseppe was an excellent tour leader. He was very solicitous to some members of the group who had dietary needs. He went to a lot of effort to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves and that things went smoothly
