We’ve crafted each family adventure vacation with one of two specific age ranges in mind: 9-12 and 13-16. These recommended ages are intended as a guide, but children outside these age ranges may still enjoy the tour depending on their interests and confidence.

This factors in how busy and physically challenging the itinerary is, as well as how much time is spent traveling from place to place.

Single-parent families are welcome on all of our family vacations.

Ages can vary within the group, but travelling with other families creates an easy, sociable and supportive atmosphere from the start. Your guide manages the day-to-day logistics, shares local knowledge and supports the group throughout the itinerary.

Exodus family vacations range from Easy to Moderate, so you can choose an Activity Level that suits your family’s fitness, experience and preferred pace.

Easy tours generally balance activities with free time, while Easy & Moderate itineraries may include busier days or longer journeys. Moderate tours require a reasonable level of fitness and can feel more challenging for younger children.

The amount of free time varies by family vacation, but itineraries are designed to balance organised activities with opportunities to relax and recharge. Some tours include dedicated free days, while others provide quieter afternoons or time between guided experiences.

All our family tours include accommodation, listed transport and activities, plus the services of an expert local guide. Some meals are included, while others are left open so you can choose where and what to eat. You can also book international flights and additional hotel nights through the Exodus team. Absolutely! Exodus family adventures are designed around a primary age bracket of either 9-12 or 13-16, but children outside that range are still welcome. Children outside the recommended age range may simply find some activities easier, or more challenging, than others.
