In focus: National Parks in the USA
California’s Yosemite National Park is blessed with vast areas of forest punctuated with granite outcrops – home to a healthy population of black bears. Further east, the somewhat drier state of Arizona has more barren, but no less striking, scenery. The Grand Canyon is jaw-droppingly huge and stretches off into the distance both longways and downwards. Its steep walls are formed from some of the oldest exposed rock on the planet, making it a draw for geologists from all over the world.
Bryce and Zion National Parks also feature stunning rock formations, best viewed as the sun sets. Then there is Monument Valley with its iconic red sandstone mesas, which instantly conjure up images of cowboys and Indians fighting in old Western films. Further south still and you’ll find yourself in the Deep South, homeland of some of the greatest music the world has ever known, from the deep melodic strains of the blues to the twang of country strings.
We offer a range of America tours to the country’s national parks, from the Western Explorer to Yellowstone Wildlife Trails.

Sheldon Dickson Southern Soul: New Orleans to NashvilleThis trip was full of culture, great music and warm Southern charm. Every day offered something new to discover, and even in our free time there was so much to explore.
Louise Ward Walking in America's Canyons & National ParksThis was an epic tour. Virtually ever day has a Wow moment which literally had our group in awe. Expected Grand Canyon to be amazing but Bryce Canyon was probably my favourite. Jay the Guide went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Including a bespoke sound track for the bus. Driving into Death Valley to sound of U2 was brilliant.
