Vancouver Island – With an abundance of hiking trails and more opportunities for whale-watching than you can ever imagine, Vancouver Island is one of the largest in the Pacific. At almost 300 miles in length and 50 miles across, there’s enough space to truly get away from it all.
Wildlife Watching – Vancouver is where seal and whale-watching goes into overdrive and anyone hoping to catch a glimpse of crashing tail or spurting blow-hole can take a tour into the Pacific – cameras at the ready, as you’ll definitely want to remember and share these moments!
Gas Town – Gas Town is the original downtown district of Vancouver and as such holds a lot of history. There are plenty of cobbled streets to stroll around and one of the local highlights is the steam clock which stands proudly on the corner of Water and Cambie.
Stanley Park – Stanley Park is up there as one of the best in Canada. If you’re seeking solace from city sightseeing take a peaceful wander along its trails, and you’ll discover over 1000 acres of public space dotted with forests, beaches, lagoons and pedestrian paths.
Capilano Suspension Bridge – Kayakers, salmon and even rubber ducks have all been known to make the most of the fast-flowing Capilano River that runs some 230 feet below and walking across the roof of the granite canyon is certainly a moment to savour. There’s lots more to explore once you’ve crossed the bridge, including living forest exhibits, cliff-top strolls and pine tree canopy walks.

Just back from another great Exodus trip. Whales and bears of British Columbia is an excellent trip. We saw black bears and grizzlies, orcas, grey and humpback whales, seals and sea lions, river otters and a raft of sea otters, porpoise and bald eagles. Very well organised, four great boat trips, a couple of ferries and a good mix of walks and optional activities – kayaking. Our leader, Taylor was excellent. All the accommodation was comfortable. The minibus drives were comfortable with interesting views and frequent stops. Friendly group. A brilliant trip.

Rosemary Humm Whales & Bears of British Columbia

I just completed the Whales & Bears of British Columbia tour and it was incredible. From the first ferry ride to Vancouver Island, I was immersed in wild coastline and ancient rainforest. We spotted humpback whales breaching off the bow and watched black bears comb the shoreline for crabs. A full-day outing to the Orford River treated us to grizzlies feasting on salmon amid misty fjords. The group was small, the guides passionate, and every day brought something surprising. Yes, there were long drives and changeable weather, but it all added to the adventure. I’d highly recommend it

Georgia Letts Whales & Bears of British Columbia

A wonderful trip with some long days of driving but these were mostly broken by regular stops, including some quirky lunch spots. Vancouver and Vancouver Island in particular are stunningly beautiful.
