Mount Toubkal Winter Trek (Monkey Business!)

A challenging and exhilarating trek in winter conditions, with over 7 meters of snow in places, using crampons and ice axes for the first time! and with a fabulous group!

Most Inspirational Moment

The most inspirational was our pre trek briefing from our leader Abdullah who welcomed us in a sincere and earnest way to Morocco which is a muslim country surrounded by other countries which are in conflict. This made a deep impression and immediately earned our respect for him.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Abdullah was a fantastic leader,He looked after us kept us informed and was ably assisted by Mohammed and Houssain. Safety was paramount, he checked our kit and trekked with us if we were flagging!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Go with the Exodus team! push yourselves and find your limits, Its exhilarating, Take up the challenge! Your guides will assist you in every way.

excelent introdution to asia

the trip was a introduction to the region , leaving you wanting to return and explore further

Most Inspirational Moment

I it difficult to identify one moment as each of the three countries were so different , it was more like 3 holidays in one.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Rit was a very good leader and his relaxed Thai style made him very popular with the group

Advice for Potential Travellers

add a few days on to each end of the trip so you can see more

Galapagos and Amazon

What a fantastic adventure! The rain forest was amazing, paddling up the creek to the Napo Wildlife Centre was like going to a different world. The cabanas were lovely, food plentiful and tasty. We saw Giant River Otters twice! Wow! It was the rain forest, so guess what, it rained! (but not all the time.)
Cachalote was equally comfortable, if a little cramped, and Cookie produced excellent meals, need to go on a diet now. The walks on the islands were short, but interesting with an abundance of wildlife providing loads of photo opportunities.Snorkeling was brilliant, even for a novice like me.
The Hotel Vieja Cuba in Quito was quaint and unusual.

Most Inspirational Moment

When the boat was surrounded by a pod of minky whales. We could even hear them calling to one another.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Delfin was informative and knowledgeable, keen and enthusiastic, whilst Fabio had eagle eyes. Together they were amazing. In the Galapogas Christina was equally knowledgeable and as a resident showed her love of the islands.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Pracice snorkelling and buy a good camera or you will be very left out!

Pura Vida in Costa Rica

Excellent adventures every day. Loads of wildlife to see, great jungle lodges, excellent guide and good food.

Most Inspirational Moment

Sitting on the beach at Manuel Antonio with a palm tree behind us with a toucan at the top, a woodpecker half way up and an iguana next to us.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Guillermo was excellent, hugely knowledgable about the bio diversity, seemed to know every species of bird we saw and had a very sound philosophy about life.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Pack lots of changes of clothes as its mostly hot except in the mountains where you need a fleece at night. Leave the really cold gear behind. It can rain a lot on the boats at Tortuguero but ponchos are provided so a lightweight waterproof jacket is the only rain gear you need. You can buy caps everywhere which is useful both for rain and shine. Food (including salads) and water is generally safe but you still might need some Immodium just in case. Walking trips are generally fairly easy, albeit sometimes slippery when wet. I had walking boots, a pair of rugged trainers and walking sandals. If you wanted to save space you could get away with just walking shoes and leave the boots behind.

Mount Toubkal- winter climb

Great company, professional guides, fantastic food and that is even before you get to the mountains. The natural beauty is un-missable and the adventure un-stoppable.

Most Inspirational Moment

Overcoming fears amongst people who have become your friends under the safety of expert guides. Breathtaking beauty surrounds. The journey epic and the rewards are unforgettable.

Vietnam & Angkor Wat, March 2015

This was an incredibly varied, exciting, well organised and enjoyable trip. It covered major sights of interest in Vietnam, and the visit to Angkor Wat was a real bonus.

Most Inspirational Moment

Halong Bay. Although the weather wasn't brilliant, the bay was spectacular and atmospheric, the boat trip wonderful, and the first attempt at kayaking exciting (thanks to a very patient and understanding kayak partner!).

Thoughts on Group Leader

Vinh was exceptional - extremely well organised, so we all knew exactly what was expected of us, very knowledgeable, and willing to share his own personal and family experiences with us.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Travel as light as possible, but be prepared for changes in weather from quite cold in North Vietnam to very hot in Cambodia. Take an overnight bag to be used in Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. Sandals were essential footware - take at least 2 pairs.

Trails of Vietnam

An action packed adventure covering many of the highlights of Vietnam. We sampled many of the tastes of Vietnam, a variety of accommodation and various modes of transport. We visited remote villages, temples, museums and bustling cities. We were provided with an insight to a variety of lifestyles and cultures within the country, both current and historic.
It is a crazy mix of East meets West.

Most Inspirational Moment

Walking through the remote villages and experiencing the hospitality of the home stay near Mai Chow. Being invited in to the homes of villagers. The scale of Halong Bay, the buzz of Hoi An, the peacefulness of cycling along the tracks in the Mekong Delta and learning to cross the road safely!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Fantastic! Tho shepherded us from place to place, experience to experience. He managed the group with ease, ensuring that we were always on time and nobody was kept waiting. He provided us an insight tothe people, the government and the history, allowing us to have a better understanding as to the various ways of life. He was a mine of information and if he didn't know the answer to a question, he would find out! He was well presented, caring and concerned for all members of the group. A lasting memory of the trip will be his smile, cheeky sense of humour and his fondness of the expression ' Okay, let's go!' A credit to both Exodus and Vietnam!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Be prepared for an adventure, long days and a mix of comfort and making do. Relax in to it and enjoy! Take walking shoes as boots were not necessary. Laundry can be done in Hoi An very cheaply, so there is no need to pack too much.

The best way to discover Vietnam and Cambodia

Fantastic trip: great itinerary, good food, comfortable accommodation and an amazing guide. You can make the trip as active or as restful as you like due to the good range of optional activities, balanced itinerary and lack of long travel time.

Most Inspirational Moment

Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Mekong Delta and Angkor Wat

Thoughts on Group Leader

Incredibly knowledgeable, diligent and friendly - Hanh is the best guide I have had.

Walking the Amalfi Coast

This was a great trip. The itinerary was well-balanced with plenty of walks and opportunities for sight-seeing. The accommodation was very good and the food outstanding. Our guide Paul was well organised and integrated well with the group which was made up of a mix of ages, solos, couples and relatives.

Most Inspirational Moment

Climbing to the peak of Vesuvius and venturing inside the crater. Also, getting a pizza master-class from the chef in residence at the hotel (and coming away with a certificate!).

Thoughts on Group Leader

As above, Paul was organised, friendly and efficient at getting everyone together on time. He explained each day's itinerary clearly in advance and joined in with the group throughout the week.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Arrive with an empty stomach! Also, be prepared for steps (and lots of them).

I'll be going back

Excellent holiday, great location,

Most Inspirational Moment

First time skiing off track, great to get to the otherwise inaccessible and hidden surprises.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both Mary and Ilsa were excellent leaders, enthusiastic and were good instructors.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Expect bruises!
