This holiday was a fabulous introduction to the Amalfi region with a good balance of activities and free time. The local hotel was a charming and welcoming base.

A very well organised trip with a great leader who kept us motivated and entertained. Cuba is changing fast so great to see it firsthand. Cycling conditions were pretty good although it got hot afternoon when the combination of the heat and the hills meant the going got tough from time to time.
The feeling on achievement after a good ride and seeing Cuba close up. Cycling means you can see details close up.
A great leader who kept us motivated and entertained.
Take lots of suncream ! Some basic cycling gear makes all the difference (good gloves, cycling tops and padded shorts or a gel saddle).
I have just returned from a week’s cycling in Sicily that covered 45-65 k a day. The 15-person group – Icelandics, Canadians and Brits – were immensely kind and supportive.
Improving in fitness over the week and not being too far behind the real cyclists was, for me, inspirational. Off the bike, the historical sites, especially the catacombs at Syracuse, and the beautiful coastline, were also stimulating.
Leah was a an excellent leader and very knowledgeable on the history of Sicily. Giuseppe provided wonderful lunches and van back up.
I am fit, but not particularly cycling fit. I did intend to get cycling fit but the poor weather meant that I cycled in the gym whilst watching a film on the TV screen. Reality was much tougher and Sicily was hillier than I expected! So my advice would be to prepare a little better than I did. A 'moderate' ride was for me 'challenging'.
Beautiful landscape, mostly very good weather, spectacular hikes.
We met very interesting and awesome individuals at this trip. People got along very well and were very supportive of each other.
I am not sure.
Emily was a great group leader. She was very kind , encouraging , and supportive. She was well organized and made the trip quite enjoyable for everyone.
I think I do. Those hikes are much harder that you would think. They need training and a very good pair of shoes.
Most people had heard of Casablanca but we wanted something else. Our trip took us to teeming cities, oases and high mountains. The hotels were a good standard but sometimes the water supply failed. But this was not home and things like this you take in your stride. Morocco has many beautiful sites and smells and we sampled many of them.
Reaching the rarefied mountain passes and tracks was exciting. The quiet and tranquility of the mountain streams and abandoned villages and the hospitality of the locals was inspiring. Mint tea and cake , with our group sitting cross legged on a carpeted floor, was a very memorable experience.
Khalid was brilliant. Never short of an amusing anecdote, always on the phone arranging matters ahead of our arrival, always anticipating interesting observations, he made the tour something to remember.
Morocco is a fascinating country and is deeply Muslem. Respect their customs and wear appropriate clothing. Don't photograph soldiers or police ever and when people say no to photographs, they mean it. If you want a photo of someone, ask first.
We took the trip that started from Leon and finished at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Though I walked with my brother-in-law, each evening we met up in the hotel with two delightful UK couples on the same trip. The walking was not demanding to experienced walkers, though the weather in early April was varied. The Camino route is not through top quality scenery all the way; it’s a pilgrim route ! Most of the hotels were either excellent or very good.
Arriving at hilltop O Cebreiro in snow and seeing the C11 chapel there. Arriving soaked at the hotel in Arzua, and getting a really warm welcome. Lining up in the office in Santiago for my certificate with walkers from numerous countries.

This trip was amazing as we spent time dodging scooters in large cities like Ho Chi Min City and Hanoi as well as being in extremely beautiful rural environments too. The hotels were of a fantastic standard and the country has so much interesting history and culture and we learned so much in between the more serious cycling. Following the coast road was wonderful as the sea breeze cooled us down and the views were magnificent. The 10km climb was fun and all of the group except two who were a little poorly made it to the top. A 35km downhill was absolutely exhilarating.
Overall I would highly recommend this trip it was so interesting, colourful, wonderfully guided and I have not yet mentioned the cuisine -I am a piscatorian and the food was exquisite…the train ride was great fun and words fail me to describe the immense mystical beauty of Halong Bay,
Gaynor
Lots of it-the downhill 35K and the 10k up, Halong Bay, Hoi Ann, Hanoi
He was excellent-great fun, knowledgeable, fit and could not do enough to make our holiday brilliant
Enjoy
Lovely varied walks in unspoiled countryside and a visit to the beautiful Alhambra Palace of Granada.
Visiting George's home - what a superb achievement.
Friendly, knowledgeable and obviously concerned for the wellbeing of the region.
The trip notes covered everything very well but expect to put on a few pounds as the food is so delicious.
I arranged for a party of five friends to participate on this trip. We all came back full of praise for the quality of the organisation, the food, the accommodation, the variety and fulsome nature of every day, the friendliness of the group, the excellence of the guide. We were particularly impressed, and relieved, by the efficiency and care with which our guide and Exodus leapt into action to get us home when we learnt there was going to be an airport strike. It all went as smoothly as anyone could have hoped for. This was my fifth trip with Exodus and its a company I feel I can fully trust.
Completing that first walk from the hotel down to Amalfi. It was challenging with so many steps to navigate! But the views, the trees, plants, terraces, hillside homes even the fresh air was everything I hoped it would be.
Severio was a very attentive, knowledgeable and encouraging leader of our group. He made sure we all were able to stay with the walking group and participate in all that was planned. Our guide ensured we had experience of local facilities and access to local people and made every moment fun. We felt he took every effort to make our holiday pleasurable, safe and companionable.
The distance of the planned walks is not daunting however there is a lot of going up or down with little on the flat. That is the nature and the beauty of the area. Nearly every walk required climbing or descending a lot of steps. So good knees and a walking pole are advisable!
My daughter was studying abroad in Hungary and asked me to travel with her over spring break. I googled Amalfi and Adventure vacation. That’s how I found Exodus. I read the itinerary for two days and on the third day I held a lovely conversation with an Exodus Rep and voila(!), we had a plan to Walk Amalfi Coast. Casual beginnings; turned out to be inspiring and fantastically fun and great food (+exercise to heal the delicious guilt of eating dessert and drinking wine each evening).
Wow. So many. I loved the quotes and in-real-life stories Paul, our leader, shared. The Guests in our group were all cut from the same non-whiny, very kind to all, no person left behind, cloth. Hitting the peak of a hillside climb was always breathtaking.
Could. Not. Have. Been. Better! I'd take any trip that dude led. Paul was a master of the fine art of leadership and personality. His partner in trading, Marty, was thoughtful, helpful and cheerful as well.
Do this. Yes. Do it.
