Paolo was a character and kept us safe throughout the week but could have been more informative if his English was to improve.
Advice for Potential Travellers
We stayed a couple of days before in Taormina to see Etna and a couple of days after in Syracuse as there are many sights to see there.

Morocco's Great South
Overall, a great week of cycling. There were two big unknowns for me going into this adventure: 1) How difficult would the cycling be, and 2) How safe would I feel cycling through rural Morocco. The cycling was breathtakingly beautiful but not hard if you consider yourself a cyclist. Most of the people in our group weren’t avid cyclists just relatively fit people looking for some adventure. If you do consider yourself a cyclist and rack up 100-200km or more per week, then look for something higher than “4” on the Exodus challenge meeter. That said, the rides were amazing with some good climbs and even better ‘white knuckle’ descents. The part about safety in Morocco? Don’t sweat it. I never felt any concern for safety and the whole trip was supported by an experienced Exodus leader and two local chaps riding vans in front and in the back. All good on that front.
Most Inspirational Moment
On the second day there was a 30km long descent. It was mind boggling and just kept going on and on. I've never seen anything like that before and likely never will again. Truly amazing. Dinner with the group each night getting to know others from around the world was very fulfilling as well.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader was an English chap named Jon H. He was simply amazing. He tended to everyone's needs with patience and a kind heart. A remarkable person that kept us all alive during one of the hottest weeks ever. I can't say enough about Jon's ability to guide such a diverse group of people through an amazing adventure. Kudo's to Exodus for finding talent like this.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring water bottles, cycling shorts and some travellers laundry soap. Your will need to wash your kit on your own.

Great walk
We will remember the comaradery on the trail, the different accommodation every night.
Most Inspirational Moment
When the priest in Leon cathedral blessed us before we started walking, he was very personal to us all.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We did not have a group leader it was self guided. The notes were not always adequate.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you can have local maps.

GREAT TRIP TO NEPAL
My wife & I went to Nepal with Exodus in March this year & had a fantastic time! As the ‘Annapurna in Luxury’ group tour didn’t exactly meet our needs -we wanted to do water rafting & an elephant experience in Chitwan – SHARMIL at Exodus created a personal itinerary for us. The holiday was great – superb trekking in the Annapurna region, water rafting down the SETI river , various activities in the Chitwan National Park plus a fascinating day in Kathmandu!
All Exodus staff were excellent but a special mention to BIKASH – our guide for 5 days of trekking. BIKASH was an outstanding guide/walk leader – he took us on less obvious/well known routes, adjusted the pace to suit our needs (not fast but not slow – taking account of my ‘dodgy knee’ etc) & encouraged us when we got a bit tired. A very talented Guide/Trekking Leader that we highly recommend !
Thanks for a superb experience !

Most Inspirational Moment
Trekking through villages in the Annapurna range.
Thoughts on Group Leader
As above - BIKASH was an outstanding leader !
Advice for Potential Travellers
Get to a reasonable level of fitness.
Invest in pro biotic tablets & hand gel etc - we did so & had no health issues.
The road journey to & from Chitwan is very long & busy - as the 'motorway' is not yet finished.dKW

Walking in Puglia & Matera, May 13 to 20 2017
This was an especially interesting and enjoyable trip, thanks to a well-balanced itinerary, accommodation and transport that was well above average, and superb management on the part of our Tour Leader, Giuseppe. It proved also to be an excellent time of year to visit, with the countryside at its most attractive (green & productive) and the climate relatively fresh.
Most Inspirational Moment
The most spectacular part of the trip involved learning about the history of the city of Matera, and appreciating its geological setting.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We have completed many trips with Exodus and other companies operating on similar lines. We have learned that the qualities of the Group Leader influence the success or failure of a trip to an enormous extent. Giuseppe proved to be one of the very best Leaders we have known. His concern to explain & illustrate the culture of his native province was quite exceptional, as were the lengths to which he was prepared to go to ensure that we experienced the full breadth of the local cuisine and wines - notably in the middle of the day when he regularly prepared a wonderful lunch for our party of 16 - complete with coffee, mint tea, or - most memorably - a polystyrene cup of Primitivo.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Be prepared for climbing a lot of steps in Matera (as it's a very hilly city), and don't imagine that a 10km walk is too short for a good walker (the heat of the sun makes even a short walk quite taxing - even in mid-May).

A relaxing and enjoyable trip
This was a nice close up look at the heel of Italy. Lots of historic context alongside regional cuisine, great local wines, and beautiful countryside. We had a great group of 11 like-minded travellers and had a lot of fun.
Most Inspirational Moment
Trying out the local cuisine was a highlight, especially all the amazing appetizers.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Marcella was great! She spent time with us even when she didn't have to and always made sure we were taken care of.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring good walking shoes. The walks are longer and a bit more challenging than they sound in the trip description, and take place in the heat of the day.
