“If you are doing what you love,” says Thanh, “you don’t have to work a single day.” Thanh enjoys meeting people from around the world and introducing them to the countless beautiful places in his home country. He ensures his clients experience something special in each place they visit. One of his favourite experiences is to take his groups to the old quarter of Hanoi, where they cross the scooter-filled road and pass hidden alleys. The reward is a quintessential Hanoi experience, a street food feast sat on plastic chairs washed down with bia hoi beer.
“Thanh will be our endearing memory of Vietnam. He epitomises the spirit of the Vietnamese people and their culture. He is rightly proud of his country and helped us to appreciate it. Thanh is a great teacher and taught us so much about the food, customs, history and soul of his beautiful country. His enthusiasm is boundless and his patience in dealing with different personalities and needs was exceptional. He was very inclusive, reassuring and efficient in equal measure” – Helen
“Thanh was simply marvelous. Not only did he guide us through Vietnam with humour and passion, but also through numerous menus choices, which can be tricky in a foreign country. We wish we could have such a guide on every trip we ever go to, but we know it is not possible, because there is only one Thanh in the world and we feel very lucky to have met him” – Anna
“Thanh was exceptional and a real credit to Vietnam – his knowledge was outstanding and the way he lead our group was just perfect. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure our group was well looked after – I couldn’t rate him highly enough” – Louise
