Positano Trips

According to Greek legends, Poseidon, the God of the Sea, created the beautiful coastal town of Positano as a gift to a nymph that he had fallen in love with. Aside from the fascinating legends and allure that surrounds this cliffside village on southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast, locals and travellers have flocked to this region for centuries to explore the sun-drenched coastlines and picture-perfect streets and charming boutiques draped in wisteria.

This small jewel in the Amalfi Coast’s crown is bound to impress, with its iconic pink and peach terracotta houses and steep streets dotted with bustling eateries and some of the most fashionable retailers in the Campania region. But you’ll soon find there’s a wealth to discover on the outskirts of town whether on foot or by bike on our Positano holidays.

On our Highlights of the Amalfi Coast trip, you can explore the narrow alleyways and sun-filled piazzas of Amalfi, visiting the large Duomo Cathedral before hopping on a fast boat to Positano. Taking in the vertical town views and shimmering turquoise coastlines are bound to leave an indelible imprint on your memory, as you dock to explore this chic town for a couple of hours on foot. Another Positano tour that’s perfect for all the family is our Amalfi Coast: Pompeii and Pizza Family Holiday. Before learning how to whip up the perfect Neapolitan Pizza in Amalfi, enjoy exploring the town of Positano, visit the Byzantine Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption, or take a refreshing dip off the coast of one of the world’s most iconic beaches, the Spiaggia Grande, before returning to Bomerano.

If you’re looking to explore more of the area on foot our Walking the Amalfi Coast gives you the perfect opportunity to discover more of this picturesque town. This Positano holiday, takes you past ancient stone houses and local shepherd huts along the ‘Sentiero degli Dei’ (Walk of the Gods), before descending into Positano. Or if you’d like to discover the region on two wheels, Cycle Cilento & the Amalfi Coast offers a fantastic Positano tour, taking you along the scenic “Strada Amalfitana” towards the pastel-hued towns of Amalfi, Praino and Positano which boasts beautiful views overlooking the whole peninsula and out to the enchanting island of Capri.

Disclosure: I am an Exodus employee, but I traveled on this trip as a customer.

Walking the Amalfi Coast exceeded my expectations. The itinerary strikes a perfect balance between rewarding hikes, stunning coastal scenery, authentic local experiences, and fantastic food. Every day offered something different, from walking the famous Path of the Gods to exploring picturesque villages like Ravello and Sorrento and enjoying delicious regional cuisine. The trip was very well organized, and our tour leader’s passion and local knowledge made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a summer active holiday with incredible scenery and plenty of Italian charm.

Fiorella Miranda Walking The Amalfi Coast – Summer Edition

The excursions were fun. I enjoyed all the people in our group. Food was good and plentiful. The family that runs the hotel did not seem very friendly. The sister in-law of one of the brothers was very annoying, when she speaks she screams. The family always ate next us in the dining room, she was horrible, our guide even asked her to pipe down. The staff was fantastic. Nice grounds but barely a 3 star.

Tom aragon Highlights of the Amalfi Coast

We had a wonderful week walking the quieter part of the Amalfi Coast, seeing the coastline, beaches, small villages, wooded areas & climbing down a LOT of steps but they were worth the effort & aching legs to arrive in wonderful places!
The hotel is lovely with very welcoming staff & the food is traditional home made Italian which is really nice!
We enjoyed the little extras too like the pizza making & tasting evening, the kitchen tour & a visit to the local cheese maker (THE best ricotta cheese we have ever tasted!) We didn’t want to leave!
