Kerala Trips

You could spend a lifetime exploring the nuances that make each place – and each day – distinctly different from the last in India. Each is marked by its own food, festivals and traditions. And there’s an ever-changing landscape too. On Kerala holidays and the languid south, you’ll find the pace much slower than in the frenetic north. Tranquil rural villages, deserted white-sand beaches and wildlife-rich rainforest make Kerala the perfect haven. Beautiful countryside, rolling plains and lush valleys are home to elephants, monkeys and other flora and fauna.

On Exodus Kerala tours you’ll have the opportunity to stay on a converted rice barge and explore the sleepy backwaters. The barges are open on both sides, encouraging a natural breeze and allowing stunning views of both banks of the river. Throughout the journey watch local life pass by, and in the evenings visit villages to experience life here more closely.

Walking & Trekking

Wonderful trip through a unique part of India. As usual with Exodus we had a great group of like minded travelers and a variety of things to see and experience. There was a good mix of urban and nature. Cochin would have been a lot better if the hotel was in Fort Cochin. Too much time was spend driving back and forth.

Susan Suarez Kerala & the Tropical South

The perfect balance of a fairly challenging two weeks of cycling, varied scenery, activities out of the saddle that are just as good as those in it, and a beach ending that is the cherry on top! Who doesn’t want to spend their rest day searching for tigers & elephants in Bandipur National Park? Our leader, Safi, had 15 years experience and his local knowledge made sure we saw the real heart of India. I would go and do this very trip again and I don’t think I’ve ever said that about a trip. 10 stars!

Jess Dillon Cycle Kerala & Tropical India

This was a busy itinerary with some early starts and long transfers, but it meant we saw so many amazing places every day. Our memory of the first week in the north, was of the noisy mayhem that is India, with quite a lot of sightseeing to monuments. In contrast the week in Kerala was more relaxed either by the sea or in the mountains. Being a ‘Premium Adventure’ meant we were in good standard hotels, and about half the dinners and some lunches were included in the price, which was appreciated. Also, our leader saw to all the tipping for the whole trip, so we didn’t have to have a kitty (a bit of a bugbear on previous Exodus trips).
