Thoughts on Group Leader
She was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and the other members respected her.

Overall the trip was very well organised and the group leader and her team did their utmost to ensure we met our goal of reaching the summit.
The hiking and reaching the summit of course!
She was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and the other members respected her.
I booked at the last minute and the tour exceeded all expectations. The pace, itinerary and activities were varied and provided many interactions with the local culture, for example the wonderful hotel locations made it easy to explore the local areas. The tour leader was truly exceptional in his communication, safety procedures, encouraging passenger comradery, and proving information of local, cultural and historical interest.
I really felt that I experienced the food and culture of Vietnam with all the included and suggested visits to a variety if important national sites such as the Ho Chi Mihn Mausoleum, My Son, the Junk overnight trip, the train trip, the Rickshaw ride, the Mekong Delta visit among other places. Safety information provided by Huy helped me to feel safe, be cautious when necessary, and aware when needed as he always placed our safety first.
He was the best leader that I have ever encountered. I have worked in the travel industry and took my first tours to Europe and the UK in 1985, across Canada in 1986 and many more since so I am very aware of what I consider to be an excellent experience and Huy was above and beyond, really the best ever!
A real level 4 trip, with steep sections on most days, some scrambling and rocky paths, but also some gentler parts along ridges and the coastline, with the rewarding views over majestic fjords, hidden beaches and colourful villages and the Lofoten archipelago in the background.
Reaching the top of each walk and thinking there can't be anything more spectacular.... and being proven wrong the next day! Staying a few nights in comfortable converted fishermen's cabins and imagining their lives back in the days.
Jakob is an experienced hiking leader and was perfect for the job as he lives locally and is very knowledgeable about the whole area. You could see he wanted us to have a great week, always encouraging us, being flexible with the itinerary and listening to our comments and needs. He was also a lot of fun to be with and even brought local treats for us on a walk!
Do bring waterproof top & bottom and waterproof walking boots. The weather can be very changing, and the ground boggy in some places. Walking poles are also strongly recommended, to go up as well as down (helps with the knees). No need to bring cash in Norway, everything can be paid by card. ATMs available in various places if needed. Try the local fish and seafood, and the cinnamons buns!
We experienced and we’re able to see so much of Portugal. It was well organised and all ran smoothly. We certainly experienced the highlights of Portugal. The quality of the hotels was very good. We had an amazing guide who shared her passion and knowledge of the country very well. Our guide really looked after us.
It was all fabulous. Coimbra was a nice surprise. Port tasting in the Douro valley was special.
She was lovely to be around. Great energy. Looked after us all really well. Kept the trip running to schedule.
A good mix of 3 days of walking through the Umbrian countryside, plus tours of Rome, Perugia and Assisi. Excellent guides in Rome and Perugia. (Assisi is self guided). Splendid hotel in Umbria with an excellent pool that enabled us to relax at the end of each day. But the quality of the food in the restaurant was erratic.
Several: Walking along to Roman Aqueduct to Spello and the mosaics in the Roman Villa at Spello. Sunset over Todi. The wine and beer tastings were very good. And the cookery class was fun.
Nico was very knowledgeable and was an excellent guide. His restaurant recommendations were excellent.
The walks could be done in trainers, but as some paths can be muddy, walking shoes or boots are preferable. Probably not a suitable holiday for solo travellers as the single supplement is very expensive and out of kilter with the hotel prices.
The initial communications with Kyra prior to booking were helpful. Kyra was attentive and responded to all my questions. Sandros and Violletta were great hosts at the chalet. Aldana was a superb guide.
There were 7 hikers in our group which was a good number for us to get to know and appreciate each other. Aldana was a great guide, very sensitive and caring, considerate of her clients needs and wishes. She also wanted to learn from our life experiences. She has great leadership qualities. On the "day off", the whole group (excluding Aldana) took the Aiguille Midi excursion and that was a real highlight. We all did the trip into Italy and had amazing hot chocolate in the restaurant.
Aldana was a great guide, very sensitive and caring, considerate of her clients needs and wishes. She gave us options and respected our wishes. She shared local information and taught us about glaciers. I can't rave about her enough! For her age, she showed great maturity.
Excellent tour guide Sevi, great local knowledge and always helpful, hotel was very good with great friendly staff and excellent food, tour content was well balanced , overall a really great week.
Ravello and Path of The Gods
Also very funny
A challenging hike in a beautiful part of the world with good accommodation and food, an excellent guide (Adrian ) coupled with a great group of fellow hikers made for a most enjoyable, fun and rewarding holiday.
Difficult to single out a moment, it was all excellent
Adrian encapsulated all the attributes you would hope for in a mountain guide - excellent
We had such a great holiday. Arjan and Enes had everything organised to perfection. The rides were all so different eaxh day (terrain and scenery), the stops were so interesting (providing us an interesting insight into albania’s history) and the food amazing!
The climb on the last day, the stay at the trout farm and gjirokaster
Arjan and Enes were great. They were very professional and organises but also good fun and clearly cares that the group all had a great time. 10/10
A fantastic week with a variety of different walks and a large selection of options for the free day.
Hike to the summit of Brda mountain with amazing views of the Julian Alps.
Excellent. Masa was really great and was not only our hiking guide but also our driver each day to the start of each walk. At each of the mountain huts she also organised our food orders.
Go for it !
