Cultural Trips to Iceland

Exodus offers a number of tours to Iceland, including walking and activity holidays. Iceland conjures up images of huge waterfalls, glaciers, spouting geysers and steaming hot pools. Reykjavik is a small but beautiful city and provides the start and end point for most of our Iceland tours. Outside the city lies a landscape begging to be explored; trekking here is fantastic.

Iceland is custom-made for adventure holidays, with visits to the impressive Gullfoss and Godafoss waterfalls, Lake Myvatn and the Jokulsarlon Lagoon keeping you busy. In winter there is the chance to try snowshoeing and glacier exploration. Iceland is also one of the best destinations for Northern Lights holidays, and no trip  would be complete without immersing yourself in the steaming waters of the Blue Lagoon.

Our cultural tours to Iceland are like trips to an evolutionary theme park. Walk round one corner and look out over a landscape of volcanic craters and fissures. Turn the next and bubbling hot springs send sulphurous steam into the air against a backdrop of live volcanoes and black lava desert. Keep walking and you’ll hit the deep freeze – powerful waterfalls, deep fjords and mammoth ice caps. Arctic it may be, but when it comes to wildlife, wilderness and adventure holidays, Iceland is hot.

This trip was amazing from start to finish! It was such a great mix of culture, history, food, and scenery – every day felt different and full of new experiences.

South Korea really surprised me with how diverse it is. From busy Seoul to quiet temples and mountain hikes, there was so much to take in. The trip was pretty full-on at times, and I’d have loved a bit more free time in Seoul or Busan to explore on my own, but overall it flowed really well.

This was an incredible trip from start to finish, with some unforgettable memories. Our tour leader was Mohammed – a humble and lovely guide that was passionate about his country, people, and culture – this just enhanced the experience- and nothing was too much trouble. Our driver Ahmed (may have the incorrect spelling) was a careful and considerate driver, that went above and beyond too in helping the group. And Morocco – what an amazing country – steeped in history and wonder. Exodus certainly take you off the beaten track to some incredible and different experiences! Thank you so much!

Wonderful trip through a unique part of India. As usual with Exodus we had a great group of like minded travelers and a variety of things to see and experience. There was a good mix of urban and nature. Cochin would have been a lot better if the hotel was in Fort Cochin. Too much time was spend driving back and forth.
