Cape Town Trips

Bustling and beautiful, the Mother City has a cosmopolitan vibe and endless allure. On Cape Town holidays, you can climb Table Mountain (or take the cable-car!) for spectacular views over the oldest city in South Africa; explore the V&A Waterfront; and visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent many years in captivity.

The city is also the jumping off point for many more adventures, including the Garden Route, one of the world’s great road trips, and the nearby wineries of Stellenbosch. Alternatively, join one of our most thrilling African expeditions, travelling from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, enjoying plenty of safari opportunities along the way.

This was a jam-packed trip, taking in city life in Cape Town and experiencing the wide variety of wildlife on the coast and in the reserves. Our tour guides were friendly and informative and happily shared all of their stories and knowledge with us on the journey. There were so many highlights and our family enjoyed the changing scenery from the coast to the Karoo and everything in between. Thanks to Petro we sampled a real variety of food and drink and enjoyed trying lots of new things. We were very sad to leave and will return to explore more!

Zoe Gordon South Africa: Family Cape Adventure

We had a most enjoyable 3 weeks on this trip, and made friends on our group of ten. The camping was work, putting up our tents (with help, thanks, you know who you are !). We stayed two nights in most places, 3 in Etosha. Very early morning starts, breakfast at 7 with tents down on moving days. It was dark, and cold! However, the tents were very comfortable with beds and mattresses, and we slept really well. The food was delicious and plentiful. After long days driving, our guides turned in and cooked for us. The breakfasts were delicious too.

Helen Burrell Victoria Falls to Cape Town – Camping

The adventure was amazing. Small group of 11. Everyday was so different from the last. I really liked driving through the countries even though sometimes the roads weren’t the best (was prepared for that). The wildlife we saw was beautiful! The hotels were fine.
