This trip was a truly amazing and magical way to experience Norway. Each of the hotels provide their own unique locales and activities from the city, to the coast, to deep in the forests along the fjords.
The Britannia in Trondheim is right in the heart of the city and a brief walk from a variety of activities and shopping areas. The city feels alive and is full of wonderful and friendly people. The private tour of the Britannia felt like such a warm and exclusive moment of the trip, and the service at the hotel is top-notch!
Our second stop, the Sveggvika Guesthouse, was probably one of my favorites. The ferry ride to Kristiansund was full of breathtaking views, and our rooms at the guesthouse were beautiful. The owners are the kindest most genuine people you have ever met; they made the cooking class and beer tasting experiences feel like I was doing them with close friends I’d known for years. This is also where we got to experience swimming in the Fjord at our guide Åshild’s suggestion. It’s not on the itinerary but it is a MUST DO!
Our final stop at the Blåtind Boutique Hotel. The Viking dinner experience was probably my favorite meal of the entire trip. The locally sourced three-course meal was delicious, and was even paired with cider from our cider tasting earlier in the day! We met a variety of people on this leg of our trip, and being able to share in the joys of their professions was an unforgettable experience.
