Foothills of the Himalaya

So interesting on many levels. Pace good. Good size group. I really enjoyed all the things we saw on the travel but the journeys were pretty long!

Seeing Indian life. Deepening my understanding of Indian culture and its religions. Hardiwar - seeing people bathing the Ganges etc Aarti Ceremony. Town of Shimila Golden Temple - both in the day and night

Sukrit was an amazing leader. Not sure how he managed to keep us all on track and together in one big group given the business of some of places we visited. We had amazing knowledge and interest in many things.. always keen to take questions. He was enthusiastic, professional and engaged well with all of the group as appropriate. You could see the amount of work the role undertook and he did amazingly well.

Very well planned, with lots of enjoyable activities. The online information about the tour was excellent, as was the customer service and booking process. The tour itself was very enjoyable, and the guide was excellent.

Beatles ashram in Rishikesh, Viceregal Lodge in Shimla, walks around Naddi & Rakkh villages, Dharamshala cricket ground, visit to village house and farm near Amritsar, folk music at Rakkh resort, Golden Temple kitchens in Amritsar, hilltop temple in Shimla.

Piyush was an exceptional guide. He was really friendly, always upbeat and cheerful, and extremely efficient. He dealt swiftly and effectively with the inevitable problems along the way; for example on the first morning at Delhi rail station our coach got stuck in a huge chaotic traffic jam, and Piyush sorted it all out very quickly.

Attentive guide, well organised trip. Great people and well thought out route that was off the main tourist route in India

The itinerary was excellent, and thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Anil Kumar, the trip was well executed, and we didn’t miss a thing. He was very organized, calm, professional, and friendly. The tour itself was varied and offered the group the opportunity to experience the culture and local religions. I can highly recommend this tour.

Lunch in the Ashram at Haridwar Arti Ceremony in Rishikesh Shimla - fantastic view from the Hotel room ! Tara Devi Temple, Art Gallery,free time on The Mall, Shimla Rakkh Resort, Palampur Visits to Buddhist Temples, Tibetan Museum, Nature Walk. Visit to Punjabi Village with local guide Kitchen visit at The Golden Temple The Group, our guide, Drivers & India!

Our overall Tour Guide, Anil Kumar, was excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, good sense of humour - and very attentive, with regular briefings face to face & WhatsApp group, to both individual & Group needs throughout the whole trip. The use of local guides during the trip added a more in depth local knowledge at the various stages during the trip. The Group dynamic was good & we were kept to time & 'in order' ! by Anil. Just can't rate him high enough!!

Very good exposure to several religions

Great scenery and very good oversight of Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism . Some long road travel days that exceeded the stated drive times .

Anil was an excellent leader, kind, informative, patient and provided daily activity schedule . Clearly wanted to ensure safety and well being of guests on the tour.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Some of the road travel days exceed trip note times by several hours , so be prepared . Always listen to advice from Leader regarding photography in temples , wearing of head covering and removal of shoes ( sometimes also socks )

Anil was amazing, always cheerful and helpful. Very organised and had a wonderful amount of local knowledge. Our tour group was very good apart from one difficult member. Anil handled him extremely well and minimised the impact on the group.
