Lived up to expectations

We recently completed the Tour, having waited a few years after a ‘covid cancellation’ and whilst being fortunate with the weather (there were high temperatures before our trip and heavy rain afterwards), we enjoyed it immensely. The physical challenge was huge, perhaps not unexpectedly and the scenery utterly beautiful. If I could sum up our experience I’d say that our previous two major treks were in the Himalayas amongst mountains almost twice the height but this did nothing to lessen the majesty and sheer beauty of the Mont Blanc region. Any disappointments such as too much shopping for lunch and a poor hotel experience in St Gervais were minor niggles.

Most Inspirational Moment

Reaching Col du Tricot after the epic climb from Refuge de Miage will live long in the memory, it epitomises my belief that in the mountains, hard work brings rewards.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our leader Agu was as good as any Exodus leader we have had in the past. He was informative, friendly, good-humoured and well equipped with leadership skills. He would also work hard in the background on our behalf, whether providing info on day-off activities or making adjustments to our plans to suit someone in the group.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Train hard and pack for all conditions.

Awesome Fjord Experience

Amazing discovery of the fjords via hiking, cruise, ferry rides and mini-bus travel. The accommodations at Nes Gard and Fjaerland Fjordstove Hotel added to the spectacular hiking. Views of the fjords and farm-to-table food was amazing at both Inns. Each day of hiking was a unique experience ; all of which offered amazing views.

Most Inspirational Moment

Our most challenging hike on the 4th day with picnic lunch at Marifijora, a spectacular view of several fjords.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Flo, our leader, was a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to all hikers.

Carpathian Walking & Bears

It was a great trip and the guide was terrific. The accommodations and food were good.

Most Inspirational Moment

The last day’s hike was the best. The hike to Bran was excellent as was the trip to Bra?ov. Thomas was very informative about Romania, bears, and the region.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Thomas was terrific in every respect. Especially grateful he was able to provide hiking shoes since my luggage was delayed three days. He was helpful contacting the courier to inquire about the status of my luggage.

Watching a sloth slowly move through the trees in its natural habitat was incredible — a reminder to slow down, be present, and appreciate the beauty around us.

Our leader was jovial, approachable, and always made sure everyone was well looked after. He kept the energy positive and the group engaged, which really enhanced the experience and he made the trip smooth, fun, and memorable.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Pack light, bring comfortable shoes, and don’t forget a rain jacket — the rainforest really does live up to its name! Make time to relax in the hot springs, stay open to every new experience, and most importantly, embrace the pura vida lifestyle.

Wildlife & Wilderness of Botswana

From getting info and the whole booking process even adding my friend later to the booking. The info provided was very good. And once on our trip it exceeded all my expectations – my friend says it was the best experience of her life. I had grown up in Kenya until I was 20 over 53 yrs ago we had gone on some amazing camping safaris . Kenny. Brighton and Yetu and the Delta polers and guide looked after us amazingly. Very professional. We all felt safe . They were so helpful and patient also so informative. They all seemed to go that extra mile their hospitality was wonderful. Incredible packing up and unpacking the ad hoc picnic lunches on the side of the road amazing salads . Superb evening meals and lunches. Even the comfort stops for 4 ladies! Planned and appropriate.

Most Inspirational Moment

Everything was a highlight. Even the sand filled shoes all te way back home. We chose to arrive 2 days earlier and stayed independently at Audi Camp which was wonderful and helped us acclimatise after a long journey and.. Our luggage didn't arrive until next day due to tight connection in Johannesburg. But the team at Audi were so helpful. So we were even more grateful having the extra time. We stayed in the v comfortable ensuite tents.

I think our group was a little unusual. But Kenny managed us well. He was v professional at all times. V helpful. But also fun too. He had some long days and a lot of driving. Impressive. Thank you

Highlights of the Amalfi Coast

The Highlights of the Amalfi Coast trip with Exodus was superb. The week was filled with excellent day trips along the coast including to the incredible sights of Herculaneum and Pompeii. A real highlight was visiting stunning Ravello and Amalfi and taking in the views from the top of Capri. Our tour leader, Veriano, was fantastic. He led our group with great care and expertise. His knowledge, passion and fantastic sense of humour shone through every day. He made the trip truly unforgettable. I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel due Torri. The facilities were excellent, the food delicious and the staff delightful. I highly recommend Exodus. Their organisation and communication prior to the trip was excellent and everything on the trip itself went smoothly. A fantastic, memorable week! I will definitely be booking another trip with Exodus!

Almost everything was amazing. Each location with its own unique atmosphere and charms. If forced to pick a highlight.... then Halong Bay was delightful and dream like; the train overnight was amazing; Hoi An was equally stunning.

Thoughts on Group Leader

He is beyond excellent. He is quite frankly the best tour guide and coordinator I have ever experienced. Every waking moment was trying to make our experience better and the whole group just learnt to trust his judgement and accept his suggestions. He knew every short cut; every great restaurant off the beaten track; how to avoid other tourists. I wish he worked for me. A truly outstanding individual that I would score 100 out of 100 if given the chance.
