Performing the greatest light show on earth, the Northern Lights are visible above 65 degrees north, and the snowy wilds of European Lapland are an excellent viewing spot. Although there’s no guarantee you’ll see the elusive Aurora Borealis on Lapland tours, at Exodus, we guide you to the best vantage points. The Northern Lights are most often witnessed between the months of September and April when the nights are at their darkest.
Throughout our holidays to Lapland, we stay in cosy accommodation in the most beautiful locations at the centre of Swedish Lapland. Rajamaa is a fabulous place where traditional wooden chalets sprinkle the island in the Muonio River. During the week we will travel by snowmobile out into the bay to experience this amazing natural phenomenon.
Every moment of our Lapland trips is packed with adventure and as well as learning about the Sami culture and sampling the local delicacies, you’ll also experience the untamed nature where dense forests and immense rivers dominate the landscape on this winter holiday.
