Highlights of Morocco

Wonderful guide and great itinerary. I have travelled with Exodus since 2007 and have always trusted Exodus to provide a great travel experience with super guides and an excellent itinerary.

Most Inspirational Moment

Camel riding in the desert, hiking in the mountains, visiting the various towns and cities with a number of excellent local guides, meeting with local people and having meals and tea with them in their homes, long but rewarding drives across the country.

Thoughts on Group Leader

One of the best I have met. Out of circa 27 trips I have done with Exodus I would say he was in the top 5 for his organisation skills as well as his friendly and relaxed manner.

Walking the Mountains & Villages of Evia

George our guide was great, local and knowledgable about traditions and the area. I have a vegan diet and this was accommodated throughout. Evia is a beautiful location and the walk intensity was correct for the trips grade

Most Inspirational Moment

The Gorge walk and the view off the top of the ridge walk near strya. But all the walks were varied and I loved them all

Thoughts on Group Leader

Very knowledgeable on local area, kept group together at a steady pace and looked after everyone. Very helpful with my dietary requirements and came out most evenings with us which was helpful.

Cycling Vietnam

We visited some beautiful locations and the people were so friendly and welcoming

Most Inspirational Moment

Seam reap, phnom pen, Hoi an, Ha long bay & Hanoi.

Son was an amazing leader! Informative very helpful very caring organised, engaging, enthusiastic and entertaining. He was just brilliant 11/10

Vietnam Adventure

The itinerary and the quality and knowledge of the Exodus tour guide (and any support team) is key. Their skill in organising safe travel, enabling group members to experience and understand the local culture and people is amazing. Activities and addition options (boat rides, street food tours, visits to cultural centres etc) within the tour are well researched for quality and delivery. Recommendations for restaurants and places to visit etc in say a large city are also researched in order that group members are safe and well supported

Most Inspirational Moment

3 day stay in Hoi An and the afternoon cycle to the countryside with Man (fields, making noodles, visit to rice wine place with veteran, fishing, boat ride at sunset and lanterns) was amazing. Also loved the Street food experience in Hanoi - again very good local guide - Evelyn. The many visits to local restaurants for a local set menu lunch and dinners were all fantastic. The whole itinerary was all good, well thought out and delivered to such a high support standard by Huy the tour guide

Thoughts on Group Leader

Huy made the trip such a fantastic trip from start to finish for everyone.

Excellent trip taking in Sri Lanka’s culture, scenery and wildlife

15 days touring holiday packed with activities showcasing the rich and immense history, culture and wildlife of Sri Lanka with an outstanding local guide leading the trip along with his driver crew. We visited temples, ancient cities, waterfalls, tea plantations and saw an immense amount of flora and fauna, and had a wide variety of amazing food every day. Travelling around the south of the country we saw stunning landscapes and got to experience the real Sri Lanka as we cycled and hiked through villages and national parks.

Most Inspirational Moment

Getting to the top of Sigiriya. I’d been nervous about the final climb and had great support from members of our group and the sense of achievement I felt at the summit and the breathtaking scenery gave me such self confidence. This whole trip has opened my eyes to a whole new way of travel.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader, Ruwan, has a vast knowledge of plants and trees and could identify and spot birds and wildlife. He engaged with the whole group and it was a pleasure to get to know him at mealtimes. He always made sure were fully prepped for our activities and shared the history, culture and traditions of Sri Lanka as we travelled around the country.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Just book it!! ….. and when you do embrace and enjoy every moment and experience …. and take lots of photos so you can remember and relive all those special moments!

Hike Spain’s Picos de Europa

It was absolutely wonderful – with a big proportion of the enjoyment being thanks to the guides. Alfonso for the hiking and Javier making sure that everything was working well. Two really great guys.

The in country team of Alfonso and Javier were superb, enthusing the whole group with their love of the mountains, great food and fellowship. Their day to day organisation was faultless.

Most Inspirational Moment

I suppose that getting to the summit if any mountain feels likes an achievement, so possibly Pene de Main, but I loved every day of the week.

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was pretty awesome. Everything was arranged well, he gave clear and timely briefings, was always full of enthusiasm and smiling broadly through. Very friendly to us all, helpful and so knowledgeable about the area, the mountains and many other areas of interest. He worked hard, but made it look effortless, to include everyone and made a good holiday and exceptional one.

Hike Morocco's Anti-Atlas Mountains

Wonderful trip that I’d be sure to recommend to others

Most Inspirational Moment

Remote and beautiful location where the interactions with the local people felt very authentic

Thoughts on Group Leader

Lahcen is a very capable leader with lots of obvious experience at leading this particular trek. He shared his great knowledge of the areas we passed through in a very engaging way that we all enjoyed. All logistical aspects were handled with a minimum of fuss and we always felt well taken care of

A very special week

This was my first Exodus trip and I was already excitedly researching my next trip a couple of days in. As someone with a busy job I found having everything smoothly organised very relaxing and it meant lots of care and expertise went in to ensuring each day was delightful and our time was really maximised to explore the area and enjoy ourselves. Our group truly became like a little family for a week; we had a lot of fun and I felt very supported by the kindness and warmth of everyone. The walks were spectacular and the location of the hotel is perfect for facilitating varied walks and activities. The food was a real highlight; fresh and authentic and different each night.

Most Inspirational Moment

During the Path of the Gods, which was truly stunning, I dropped my phone down a steep cliff. The group was very supportive and tried to help me find it but it had clearly dropped out of reach. Our wonderful group leader Veriano took lots of pictures of the remote site where it was dropped and then organised for his friends from mountain rescue to come and recover it! Hours later they abseiled down the side of the huge cliff edge and found it 20 metres down, unharmed! They then organised a relay of people to return it to me; an incredible level of service, generosity and care, and an unforgettable story!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our guide Veriano was exceptional - I thought a group tour might feel a bit like school but he was very funny and relaxed while also skilfully and subtly ensuring everyone was looked after and supported.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I have always wanted to go to Amalfi coast and I honestly can’t think of a better way of experiencing it. You stay in a quiet mountain village which feels really authentic and charming and seriously good value, away from all the busy tourist traps. Yet you get to really see and experience the beauty of the coastline and the colourful mountainside towns by foot and by boat.
