Great cycling routes, excellent hotels and hotel locations. Very scenic, good variety of hotels, great food, excellent guides and support at all times
Totally amazing. Always available and so helpful, patient and hardworking. So reliable, punctual, great knowledge displayed. Very sociable and very well organised always. Excellent.
Excellent service with booking and pre-departure. Great tour. Excellent tour leader and other tour staff.
Seeing elephants in the wild at Kaudulla NP and young elephants being fed at Udawalawe Transit Home.
Sujee was a fantastic tour leader. I really appreciated his knowledge of and love for his country. I learned a lot. He always kept us informed about what was happening each day and the timetable. He was informative, helpful, well organised and kept us to the timetable. He was consistently pleasant to deal with.
Our Exodus trips always have a good itinerary and excellent guides. The villages and Mountains of Evia was perfectly lead by George (Yorgos)
The people, Yorgos, fellow travelers and the lovely hotel staff. An extra highlight being there for the orthodox Easter celebrations, parades and fireworks.
Yorgos was an excellent leader and guide. I can not praise him enough. Excellent knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, friendly, professional, great sense of humour and really understood the needs of the group and each individual.
Amazing and varied trip, fantastic guide and brilliant culture!
Tatacoa desert, Akawanka lodge, Tyrona Park hike.
He was fantastic, I have done many Exodus trips and he is the best! He gave 100% to our group and supported us to have an amazing experience. His hard work needs recognition and I have nominated him for leader of the year.
Was on the Treasures of Morocco trip in March – April 2026 and I really enjoyed the accommodations, our tour guide Abdellah was extremely nice, knowledgeable and caring. Exodus made our trip extremely enjoyable and I would highly recommend to others.
The entire trip was one big highlight
Abdellah was extremely knowledgeable, caring and responsible. Always fostered an enjoyable atmosphere. He himself made our trip that much more enjoyable.
Abdellah was a very good leader who took care to organise our travelling, accommodation and experiences so everything went smoothly. We covered so much of Morocco in 10 days, and experienced many key sites and activities and learnt about the culture and lived experiences of Moroccans.
Highlights included: Camel ride in the desert Hassan II mosque in Casablanca Cookery course in Marrakesh Fes Medina and lunch Drive to Merzouga with mountain and valley views Oasis visit and 'medfouna' lunch Abdellah our guide Omar our bus driver was excellent Our group of 16 mixed ages got on really well.
Abdellah was a good leader. Very organised but able to be flexible. Looked after us all as individuals.
We love exodus holidays. The guides are normally well chosen and work hard to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
The walks were on good paths but the ascents made them hard but but doable and were chosen for the spectacular views. They were breathtaking and well worth the effort.
He was very sociable but also took pains to ensure any other needs we wanted from the holiday were met. I told him I'd also like to practice speaking Spanish as I am a learner an he and Javier made time to do that. I very much appreciated that.
Maybe you have been to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto and come home loving Japan but feeling you have missed the natural beauty and any sense of the real Japan away from tourist attractions. Or maybe, you have always wanted to visit but don’t like crowds and regimented itineraries. If so, this trip is for you.
We explored a quieter area of Japan at ground level, on buses, trams, local and fast trains, ferry and yes, on foot and by bicycle. Some days were challenging, so it’s definitely for those who love an active life. But other days were fascinating, charming and awe-inspiring as we walked in the footsteps of princesses and warriors (wear socks!) and saw Mother Nature’s raw volcanic power up close (bring sturdy shoes).
There’s a lot of travelling on this trip, but the landscapes are so lovely I finally understood the old maxim – better to travel than to arrive.
Walking around Setoda town on Ikuchi island looking at deserted temple sites and watching the sun going down over the Inland Sea we had cycled across earlier in the day. The perfect end to a fun day.
Ayako was a super ambassador for Japan, as well as a really well organised tour leader. She went out of her way to help us with dinner and activity recommendations so we enjoyed our free time to the fullest. She also kept us to schedule on and off all that transport and gave us confidence to explore on our own. I really enjoyed the little history talks she gave us, and appreciated the time she must have put in to research them for us.
Unless you're a v regular cyclist, consider an ebike for the Kaido cycle. It makes short work of the steep hills up to the bridges, and you can always switch the motor off for the rest of the ride. I'm not a cyclist, but even I absolutely loved crossing the long high and wide bridges slung across the islands. Unmissable.
Some exceptionally beautiful views and friendly people made this trip a memorable experience. Paths winding around rice fields and through bamboo forests, being led by local guides – very different to the walks I do back home! The warmth of the people we met, some of whom laid on delicious lunches along the hikes, added to the experience. And the cruise around Lan Ha Bay was a pleasant way to relax and enjoy the coastal scenery.
Being welcomed to crash a house-warming party on our hike to Raspberry Hill to allow us to escape a downpour until it passed!
Our tour leader, Tri, was fantastic, full of enthusiasm and kept us well informed. He is also an accomplished photographer and shared some excellent photos of our hikes with the group.
The trails can be muddy, so good walking boots are advisable. Tri did provide a walking pole, if required. If you're like me and take lots of photographs, then you'll definitely not want to forget to pack your charger!
