Evia Holidays

One of the largest of the Greek Islands, Evia is also one of the least known. Surrounded by cyan seas, beaches and coves, and with a mountainous interior of rivers, streams and forests, scattered with ancient monuments, all linked by old stone pathways, it’s a walker’s paradise.

Explore Roman quarries and aqueducts, Byzantine churches and Frankish castles, and spend days swimming and snorkelling at deserted beaches and coves. A walk down the famous Dimosaris gorge, ending at the coastal village of Kalliani, is a highlight of Evia trips. Stay in the pretty port of Karystos and each night eat in a different taverna, where succulent octopus, sizzling grilled cheeses, locally produced wines and golden-hewed honey are all on the menu…

Evia Adventure Holidays

Beautiful location for a walking holiday, with mountain views, historic sites and quiet beaches. Even time to swim in the sea on several occasionals!

Our guide was amazing, George looked after the group perfectly, sharing local knowledge and helping those that wanted to join in the Easter celebrations.

The hotel and town were the perfect base, great places to eat with a friendly atmosphere.

Would definately recommend this trip!

Excellent holiday only slightly affected by the Force 9 gales that blew for 5 days of our holiday . Karystos a lovely place , family run hotel clean and welcoming , guide Thanos brilliant in the face of having to rearrange whole of the walking itinerary !

Alison J Walsh Walking the Mountains & Villages of Evia

Everything was spectacular – from hiking in the mountains and learning about the history of Evia to swimming in the Aegean Sea and basking in the warm sun. The numerous Tavena’s and restaurants added to the experience, making it both adventurous and relaxing.
