This was a fun, educational and exhilarating trip. As usual, our Exodus guide (Mario), was out outstanding. Highly recommend this trip.
Split
Three holidays that visit the city of Split, Croatia
Split Trips
Discover Croatia’s second-largest city situated along the glittering Adriatic coast on one of our Split holidays. Inside its atmospheric old walls, you’ll find a city that’s buzzing with fragrant market stalls, cinematic squares, and authentic restaurants where you can try their delicious local fare and seafood specialities. From impressive Roman monuments and ancient monasteries to its iconic café-lined Riva that hosts prominent cultural events and celebrations all year round, it’s impossible not to become enchanted with this city on one of our Split tours.
On our Croatia Islands and Mountains trip, you can explore the beautiful national parks of Paklenica and Krka and take a morning ferry to Split, where you can visit its Diocletian Roman Palace. Another Split holiday that allows you to discover Croatia’s spectacular coastline is Cycling the Dalmatian Coast, where you pedal past tiny medieval towns and quaint seaside villages, which includes boat trips to the islands of Hvar and Korcula. If you’re looking to experience the historic cities and narrow-lined streets of Dubrovnik, Split, and Trogir, the Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Coast trip is bound to impress. Or head off the beaten track and delve into Croatia’s rich cultural heritage on our Split tour, Delights of the Dalmatian Coast, where you can wander through Split’s old town, hike in tourist-free valley trails and visit the beautiful off-shore islands of Brac and Lopud.

Barb Gormley Cycling Croatia's Dalmatian Coast
MAGGIE SIMPSON Cycling Croatia's Dalmatian CoastI guess that old adage is true, you get what you pay for. This trip was cheaper than other cycling trips I have been on but it was also in a more inexpensive country. From sagging mattresses to sewer smells to non-functioning AC or heating the housing was awful.
Lawrence Leclair Cycling Croatia's Dalmatian CoastThis trip was a stunning introduction to the spectacular Dalmation Coast of Southern Croatia. Each of the four cycling days – encompassing the islands of Hvar and Korcula and the Peljesac peninsula – seem to surpass one another, culminating in the heavenly bike path that is the Vinegorje Dingac. The latter will occupy my dreams for years to come. Even the accommodations had breathtaking views of the sun dappled and island-dotted Adriatic. Having previously lived in Italy, we were pleasantly surprised at the level of preservation, cleanliness and friendliness of the Dalmatian community. This area is truly a jewel. Wonderful food (especially fresh sea food) and drink (especially for wine connoisseurs) add to the quality of this itinerary. The October weather was perfect, sunny and in the 60s F, and the roads were quiet. Dubrovnik was still busy, but manageable.
