Beautiful Views

Great way to see the highlights of the Amalfi Coast. Absolutely stunning views and rich in history and culture. I would not classify this tour as “easy” however. I consider myself an athletic person and the amount of steps involved were incredible, and majority of steps were in rough shape that you really had to watch your step for fearing of falling or injuring yourself. Liked having one home base of the hotel for the week, except each day we needed to travel at least 30 min-1.5 hour to get anywhere, which lessened the day, not to mention in that sweltering heat most of the time the AC in the van did not appear to reach the back areas of the van. I felt I needed more ‘structured’ time – the free time was too much when I was in an area that I knew nothing of and did not know what to do with myself. I did not come to Italy to shop.

Path of the Gods was absolutely amazing. The terrain was more what I was expecting in a hiking tour.

He was friendly, but not always helpful. We mentioned that the packed lunch (consisting of meat and cheese) every day was in our backpacks for at least 3-4 hours without being kept cool in the hot sun, and he did not seem concerned.

Advice for Potential Travellers

While this was my first trip abroad in over 20 years, I did enjoy it. There were points about the hotel that you need to be aware of (annoying barking dog that seemed to come in every dinner, never any lounge chairs available as towels seemed to sit on them all day with no people, packed lunch consisted of a (massive) bun with meat and cheese with no cooling. Make no mistake of the stairs - they were a TON of them). Be aware (as I wasn't) Italy has no toilet seats, public restrooms were not pleasant (didn't appear they were maintained), and everything is expensive. If you can avoid it, do not go in the summer months - absolutely ridiculous amount of people.

By far an incredible experience!

The whole trip was absolutely outstanding. As a 17 year old soloing this adventure, I felt incredibly included and appreciated within the group which significantly added to the entire trip.

Honestly the most inspiring moments where being able to accomplish each day one at a time, even though some where tough, the views surely made up for it.

Our group leader “Rocia” was a wonderful person, very supportive and knowledgeable on all aspects of the trek.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I advise others wishing to take part in this trek to definitely ensure they have a pretty solid fitness standard. Most days are long and steep, one being 25km with high elevation though even at my basic fitness the whole team was very supportive with my pacing. All in all an amazing experience and definitely in the market to doing more like this in the future. 100% worth it :)

A Namibian adventure that will stay with me forever

As an Exodus staff member, I joined this trip with plenty of knowledge about our adventures, but experiencing Namibia first-hand exceeded my expectations. This was so much more than a traditional wildlife-viewing holiday. From tracking white rhinos on foot and watching animals gather at Etosha’s waterholes throughout the night, to visiting a cheetah conservation centre that provides a home for four cheetah siblings, every stage offered something memorable.
The combination of extraordinary wildlife encounters, beautiful landscapes, cultural insights and evenings around the campfire made this a truly immersive adventure. It is ideal for anyone who wants to actively experience Namibia rather than simply observe it through the window of a safari vehicle.

Most Inspirational Moment

Tracking white rhinos on foot was one of the most powerful wildlife experiences I have ever had. Most of our group had not fully appreciated beforehand that we would be walking through the landscape beside and behind these magnificent animals. Being on foot made the encounter feel immediate, humbling and unforgettable. It gave us a completely different connection with the environment and was, without question, one of the defining highlights of the adventure.

Michael brought the journey to life with his warmth, positivity and remarkable knowledge. Around the campfire, he shared fascinating insights into Namibia’s Indigenous communities, languages, cultures, wildlife and stars. During our walk to the White Lady rock painting, he carried the children’s water so they could focus on walking safely and enjoying the scenery. He also handled logistical challenges calmly and proactively.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Pack comfortable closed walking shoes, light clothing in neutral colours and layers for the cooler early mornings and evenings. Bring binoculars, particularly for watching wildlife around Etosha’s waterholes after dark, as well as sun protection, a reusable water bottle and a small day bag. Be prepared for early starts, stay flexible and embrace every part of the experience. Keep your camera close, but remember to put it down occasionally and simply enjoy the moment. Some of the most memorable experiences happen when you slow down and take in the extraordinary landscape and wildlife around you.

Fantastic Family Adventure on the Amalfi Coast

An excellent family adventure that combines the best of the Amalfi Coast with authentic local experiences, active outings and time to relax. From swimming and boat trips to a memorable traditional lunch in the hills, there was something for every age. As an Exodus employee travelling as a guest, I was impressed by how well the trip balanced family fun, local culture and the stunning scenery of southern Italy.

Watching the kids embrace every part of the adventure. Whether it was jumping into the sea, tackling the walks, trying new foods, or making friends with other families, their enthusiasm was contagious and reminded the adults to be just as adventurous.

Sevi was outstanding throughout the trip. His local knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with both adults and children really enhanced the experience. He shared great recommendations for exploring the towns, introduced us to local culture in a meaningful way, and always made sure everyone felt supported, especially during the summer heat. He was a big part of what made this trip so memorable.

Advice for Potential Travellers

If you're travelling in summer, be prepared for hot temperatures and plenty of walking. Pack comfortable walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, a hat, and sun protection, and take advantage of opportunities to cool off with a swim whenever you can.

A Challenging Ride with Spectacular Rewards

As an Exodus staff member on an educational trip, I had the opportunity to experience this adventure first-hand, and it exceeded expectations. The cycling was both challenging and rewarding, with stunning scenery ranging from vast steppes and mountain passes to forests and river valleys. Wild camping under star-filled skies and experiencing Mongolia’s nomadic culture made this a truly unique journey. A fantastic trip for confident cyclists looking for adventure, incredible landscapes, and an authentic cultural experience.

One of the best guided hiking trips ever!

Just back from superb Tour de Mont Blanc 2w camping trek. The scenery was stunning each and every day, the days were full and active, we camped in the most beautiful locations and were fortunate to have the most friendly approachable and knowledgeable leader Agu and camping manager/chef Keiron, both of whom were brilliant and couldn’t have made the trip run better. I’m glad we didnt do the hotel version. Cant recommend this trip enough!

Agu Toro was extremely friendly approachable and knowledgeable - we couldn't have asked for a better leader. He gave us a daily warm up and managed the pace of the group really well

Advice for Potential Travellers

If you like camping this trip is more enjoyable than the hotel version for the stunning camp locations. Great food. Take ear plugs as the sites were not always quiet. The blackout tents worked well. Great camaraderie with the other participants

A well-organized adventure for a taste of two countries!

This trip was such an excellent way to see the best of Estonia and Finland in under a week! I’m an Exodus employee that has always wanted to discover this region but didn’t know exactly where I wanted to go. This trip was the perfect place to start! Tallinn’s medieval Old Town is stunning; a maze of beautiful historic buildings that have so much charm. The national parks are quiet and trails are not overcrowded, even in the peak summer months. Our leader took us for light hikes he called ‘forest therapy’ because of the peacefulness of the surroundings. Helsinki is an interesting city with a multicultural heritage, and it was fascinating to learn about the history of this area. Visiting Suomenlinna war fortress was an excellent way to end off the trip, a beautiful island fortress packed with memories of the past and the opportunity to see old war artifacts, cannons and even a 1930’s U-boat that was used during the war.

Most Inspirational Moment

I really enjoyed our nature walk in Lahemaa National Park in Estonia. The trees are so tall, the paths are well maintained, all you can hear is the quiet of the forest, and we end the hike with views of the water (and a chance to dip your toes in the Gulf of Finland or walk along the sandy beach, if you choose!)

Lukas was an excellent guide! He was very thorough in giving us all the daily details and local history as we traveled along. He knew the best local restaurants to dine at, where the food was exceptional. During free time, he happily offered suggestions for where to visit and what to see, which was helpful and so appreciated. He answered any questions we had along the way with pleasure, and made sure all of the logistics ran smoothly.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I would very highly recommend arriving in Estonia a day or two early! There is so much to see in Tallinn: museums, shops, and endless places to eat (if visiting in the warmer months, the streets are full of patios to dine outside). Make sure to pack a comfortable pair of walking or hiking shoes as well! The hikes are not strenuous, but the trail surfaces did vary from dirt to gravel to rock to areas with exposed root, so good to have a pair of appropriate footwear.

Splendid trip!

The scenery was stunning throughout. Each day’s walk gave a different experience, both the views and the walking profiles. The itinerary is such that the difficulty of the walking generally increases over the course of the tour. It’s worth noting that the itinerary does leave a few small gaps in the TMB route. The camping was generally enjoyable (we had very good weather on most days but the one wet night did make the camping experience a little more challenging). All campsites, even the ones noted as “basic” had showers, and several had extensive facilities. However, it seems to be common practice in the area to not have toilet seats. Breakfasts and lunches were basic and somewhat repetitive, but the dinners were excellent and varied. The pace of the tour is high, with very early starts most days. Our leader Hristian, and camping manager/chef Kieron, were fantastic. We used our first rest day to take the Skyway Monte Bianco and Panoramic Mont Blanc cable cars to the Aiguille du Midi – if the weather is good, we strongly recommend this amazing experience.

Northern Vietnam: The perfect mix of incredible hiking, culture and amazing people

Hiking Northern Vietnam exceeded all expectations and was one of the most rewarding travel experiences I’ve had. From the bustling streets of Hanoi to the remote mountain villages and spectacular rice-terraced landscapes, the trip offered the perfect balance of culture, adventure, and authentic local experiences.

What made this journey so special was the opportunity to connect with local communities and experience a way of life that feels untouched by tourism. The homestays were a highlight throughout, offering warm hospitality, incredible home-cooked meals, and genuine cultural exchanges. The contrast between vibrant Hanoi and the rural regions of Northern Vietnam added another layer to the experience, showcasing the incredible diversity of the country.

Expect stunning scenery, welcoming villages, and memorable encounters. From start to finish, this trip was exceptional and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an active adventure combined with meaningful cultural immersion.

Most Inspirational Moment

There were so many inspiring moments on this trip that it's difficult to choose just one. The stay at Ta May Homestay immediately set the tone for the adventure. The hospitality of Ta May and her husband, combined with the delicious home-cooked meals, made us feel incredibly welcome from the very beginning. A particularly memorable experience was visiting a family homestay where we learned how to make a traditional palm-leaf hat and even helped harvest a cinnamon tree. Spending time with multiple generations of the family was so special and felt authentic, personal, and far removed from typical tourist experiences. The hike to Raspberry Hill Viewpoint was a unanimous group favourite. With terraces of emerald rice fields, with panoramic views across the valleys, was one of the most breathtaking sights of the entire trip and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful viewpoints we encountered. Another standout was our stay at Panhou Retreat. After several days of trekking, relaxing in the thermal hot springs, infinity pool overlooking rice terraces and enjoying the traditional Dao herbal bath (a Red Dao wellness tradition native to Northern Vietnam) was pure bliss. The spa facilities provided the perfect reward after the hiking days, and I would highly recommend taking advantage of them.

Linh Vo was an absolute star and one of the highlights of the entire trip. He was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing his country with our group. Linh went above and beyond to look after everyone. His storytelling brought the history, culture, and traditions of Vietnam to life.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Bring a reusable water bottle and hydration bladder for the hiking days. Pack Trekking poles, sun-protective clothing, a hat, lightweight & breathable clothing designed for hot and humid climates. Be prepared for the heat and humidity, which can make the trekking feel more challenging. Be sure to enjoy the traditional Dao herbal bath at Panhou Retreat - it's the perfect way to relax and recover after a day on the trails.

Incredible Tuscany

A fabulous trip taking in historic cities: Florence and Siena, ancient hilltop towns : Castellina, San Gimignano and Volterra and local food and wine tasting. We packed so much into the week but never felt rushed.The Hotel Le Renaie was comfortable and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Together with the beautiful Tuscan landscape it made for a perfect holiday.

Most Inspirational Moment

Hard to choose as there were so many. Top 3 were: The visit to the organic vineyard with the owner explaining growing grapes and producing wine - the skill and understanding needed is impressive. The visit to the Contrada museum in Siena and hearing their passion for the Paleo Making pasta at Fattoria San Donato

Thoughts on Group Leader

Lorenzo was brilliant.As a local his depth of knowledge of the area was outstanding which made the trip even more interesting. He worked hard to meet the varied needs of the group and ensured everyone had an enjoyable trip.

Advice for Potential Travellers

We had very changeable weather even in late May so lots of layers and comfortable shoes for the cobblestones.
