Cycling the Lake District of Chile & Argentina

The trip was lead by Laura with the help of Shall and Pietra? “Messi”. They all worked incredibly hard to make sure that everything was answered and explained. The amount of physical work they did was incredible, however, they always had time and patience for us and always looked after us very well. They loved to share their knowledge of the areas we visited and all questions were answered. I felt safe and I immediately trusted their leadership. Our group of 16 people quickly became a friendly, supportive team – I am sure long term friendships have been made and I am sure we will do another Exodus holiday and hopefully more than one!

Most Inspirational Moment

The unpaved climb to the Argentinian border on Day 4. The lake crossings were all stunning. The steak dinner in Bariloche. The visit to the Theatre in Bariloche to see "Tango"- lovely experience!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Susan and I thought Laura was excellent; she quickly demonstrated that she was a skilled leader being very observant, knowledgeable, kind, calm, patient, determined and made us all feel special. She is clearly passionate about her country and was very good at explaining and planning the days ahead. I always felt she had the skills to lead 16 very intelligent and demanding people! she helped to transform us into a fabulous team. Thank you so much!!

Highlights of Ecuador & the Galapagos

Hotels were as expected and in good locations, Tour guides were great and the overall tour well balanced

Most Inspirational Moment

Virtually everyday was a highlight as everything was different but the Galapogos for the Wildlife was my main reason for going

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both Estaban and Joed were excellent leaders. Both very knowledgeable about their areas covered and keen for our group to understand as much as we could/wanted to know about the trip and areas and nothing was ever too much or no questions ever not answered how ever silly they may have sounded I would go as far as they that Estaban and Joed were the best 2 tour guides I have had and that includes previous Exodus guides

Natural Highlights of Costa Rica

As ever, the itinerary is accurate and makes the most of the trip time and the tour leader was fantastic.

 

Most Inspirational Moment

Visiting three very different and equally spectacular regions in a week.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Laurens was a true Dr Doolittle and his knowledge of all the flora and fauna could not be surpassed. He organised an extra early morning bird watching session and was the perfect additional member of our group.

Exodus provided a very well organised holiday with a fantastic experienced guide It all ran very smoothly and efficiently.

Thoughts on Group Leader

She was informative, knowledgeable, fun and very experienced in group dynamics. She joined us regularly in the evenings too and recommended places visit, travel tips, restaurants and shops etc.

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing the diverse cultures, people and places. The friendliness of the people, the food, the vibrant colours; too many highlights to choose one.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Shaker was always available, knowledgeable, went beyond expectations and coped well with any hiccups. He was always informative and never pressured the slower people in the group to speed up. He was excellent and interesting.

Cycle Kerala & Tropical India

The trip was excellent, and very well organized., and we had a lot of fun. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and explained everything very well

Most Inspirational Moment

Difficult to say, because there were so many highlights.

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was very observant and well organized. He prepared us for the day's activities appropriately. He was very patient with the group. He responded very quickly to any messages that were sent to him on the group Whatsapp. He supported the other members of his team very well.

Cross-Country Skiing in Skåbu

It is several years since I took a trip with Exodus. I believe the holiday I chose this time was only the second departure, it was pretty good!

Most Inspirational Moment

Apart from the sausage lunch in the snow - the food on this trip was fantastic. I hadn't booked because of the gourmet experience, simply for the skiing, but I was absolutely converted - delicious food, and excellent wine to go with it (not part of the price of the trip). The visit to the farm linked to the hotel, to see the old buildings, the hardy sheep in -10 deg C, and to experience the sauna, all the better for having got very cold beforehand.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Absolutely excellent: thoughtful, great skiier, kind and caring. He was very good at reading our skill level and seeing what we could cope with. One member of the party was struggling a bit. Henrik considered whether the group should split, but we were reluctant, and Henrik proved very good at providing confidence building support to the person.

Kerala & the Tropical South

Our guide Vinod was amazing and from the moment we met him the trip was great

Most Inspirational Moment

Tea plantation day and the backwaters but it was all lovely, without the wow factor of northern India

Thoughts on Group Leader

Vinod was probably the best guide we have travelled with. I can't fault anything, he had a great sense of humour and we really enjoyed his company as well as learned so much from him. Nothing was too much bother. He gave us a real insight into southern India.

Snowshoeing in the Dolomites

Communication before the trip excellent, trip leader excellent, the group dynamic was perfect, accommodations were lovely and of course the winter hiking was spectacular.

Most Inspirational Moment

The group dynamic, the challenging hikes, the scenery, the accommodations, Jenny our group leader … honestly the trip could not have been more perfect!

Jenny was spectacular!! She “meshed” with group and provided very confident leadership and local knowledge!
