Beautiful Riviera
I wanted to try something different this year and this certainly ticks the box. It’s a much better way to see the Riviera than a tour bus or cruise ship.
Most Inspirational Moment
Although I've joined the Ramblers, I'm not an experienced walker. It's a fantastic feeling at the top of the hill looking down onto the Riviera. Some of the slopes are quite steep but at the end of the holiday, having managed to keep up with everyone and no scrapes or injuries, I returned home with a great sense of achievement that money can't buy.
Thoughts on Group Leader
The group leader was excellent. I was travelling on my own and the flight was delayed. I made my way to Menton on the local bus where it was dark on arrival and I was so glad Stephanie came to meet me. On the walks, she was extremely helpful and gave lots of advice. She also explained well the local history of the area.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I went in September because I thought it would be cooler but it was still quite warm and you need to drink plenty of water. This is not a problem as the water is good to drink and there are plenty of public taps in all the local villages. The route is accurately described as rocky and you need walking boots rather than shoes. Also take a swimming costume as the beach is just across the road from the hotel.

Fantastic trip that changes with each country
A great trip that differs in style in each country. Thailand you are on very quiet roads and complete long (80-90km) rides each day. Very relaxing and you can go at any pace. Staying in small towns with a few bus transfers to avoid the busy roads. Cambodia is mainly in the tourist areas and you cycle around Angkor wat and the surrounding area. This tended to be slower and with the group. Vietnam was through small villages and towns and you spend most your time waving at the locals. Great fun and loads to see and do.
Most Inspirational Moment
I loved cycling in Thailand. It was the highlight for me. The rest stops every 15-20km with fresh fruit and drink was great and you could just cycle along chatting the group and guides.
Thoughts on Group Leader
The group leader, nee, did an amazing job of moving go us through the holiday and was always there to help and guide us. But the support crews were fantastic, particularly the Thai team.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Do it! But expect a few transfers of a couple of hours and one of 9hrs. It isn't as bad as it sounds and is all an experience. They supply you with snacks along the way and the food for lunch and dinner is good. Although you may get a bit sick of rice.

Sierra Nevada & Granada
A lovely area with good scenery. The hotel is of a high standard run by a very friendly family. Good food. Great views from the room balconies. The walks are excellent with many fine views. Quite steep in places but at a leisurely pace.
Most Inspirational Moment
A zig zag descent into a craggy valley.
Thoughts on Group Leader
George was an excellent leader, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local history. He has lived in the area for a number of years.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Good walking boots are definitely required. Take a camera and sun hat. The trip to Granada was interesting but one day was not enough, we wished we had booked an extra day there to see everything there is to see of the city even if that would have meant arranging our own transport back to Malaga for the flight back.

Walking in Albania
A wonderful holiday. Exceeded all my expectations. Fantastic itinerary, well balanced between active and cultural activities. I can’t recommend this holiday enough.
Most Inspirational Moment
Reaching the Valbone pass, I'd injured my leg and the rest of the group went on ahead. I managed to finish the walk when I imagined myself stuck on the mountain!
Albanian dancing in Berat!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Dorien was wonderful. Incredibly knowledgable, enthusiastic and proud of Albania. He really went out of his way to make us welcome and comfortable, organising restaurants to eat at, helping and advising with onward travel etc....
Special thanks to him for encouraging and helping me complete the Theth to Valbone walk.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Walking poles would probably be helpful.

Walking the Amalfi coast
Well located and comfortable hotel. Swimming pool very welcome as we had a hot
week.
Most Inspirational Moment
The walk of the gods down to Positano and the optional trip to Ravello.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Peter (Pedro) tried hard and was very personable. However, he was not the usual guide for this trip (there were two groups and Livia was with the other group) and
struggled with his local knowledge and was not feeling well.

Lovely Cappadocia
Cappadocia is beautiful and I’m really glad I chose to go on this trip. You get to see so many different landscapes within a relatively small distance and walking through it all is such a good experience. On most days we didn’t see any other walkers in the areas we were exploring and the peace and quiet away from it all was fantastic.
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking the Red Valley and the high outcrop above it, fabulous!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader was very friendly and organised and seemed to know everyone in each small village we stopped in.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you don't mind heights, or fancy challenging yourself if you're a bit scared of them, definitely take the opportunity for a hot air balloon ride.
Also, the walking is very manageable for people of low/medium fitness. I was a bit worried I hadn't got myself fit enough in the weeks leading up to the holiday, but it was all relatively easy walking with just a few short steep uphills here and there.

Walking Picos de Europa
One of our best walking weeks ever.
We were blessed with excellent weather and all the walks were able to be done as per the itinerary.
Really enjoyed meeting all the other lovely people we shared the week with.
Most Inspirational Moment
Standing on one of the very high peaks and feeling on top of the world.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Alvaro was excellent. His heart and soul belongs to the mountains and he is an inspiration. His attention to detail and his very caring attitude is second to none. A truly lovely young man.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Before going check what is currently available in your room at the hotel. For instance.......during our week......there were no hairdryers in the rooms (although Pilar did provide some for those guests who did not bring one). Also there is lovely shampoo, soap and shower gel provided in the bathroom............so no need to use your weight allowance for these items.

Mont Blanc Highlights
Really enjoyed this trip with my daughter in September. The scenery was spectacular, the tour leader (Simon) was very knowledgeable and the company of my fellow walkers was memorable. My daughter and I had specific dietary requirements and we were catered for very well by Graham and Charlotte. The food was top notch. I would certainly recommend this trip and Exodus to anyone interested in walking/active holidays.
Most Inspirational Moment
I found our leader to be inspirational.
The scenery was awe inspiring.
I was inspired by the Chef, Graham as he cooked lots of lovely meals for us.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Simon was a fantastic leader. He had some interesting experiences in his life and he relayed a couple of these to us, complete with the dialect of the people in the particular part of the world he was in when they happened. Very, very funny. I found his fitness level to be inspirational. I was confident that we were all in good hands should anything go wrong.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I think I would say that to do the walks in this tour, your fitness level needs to be very good. There are a lot of long slow inclines which some of our group found difficult to handle. I found this to be a little frustrating as we spent a lot of time waiting. Before booking these types of tours, I think people should really look at how fit they are. Just looking at pictures of the terrain told me that the walks were going to be quite strenuous, so I don't really know what some people were thinking!

Fun and relaxing
Simple but pleasant hotel high on a cliff above beautiful and pleasant towns & landscapes of Amalfi coast
Most Inspirational Moment
I really enjoyed the ferry rides between the gorgeous Amalfi & Capri harbours. The water is best place to see them from
Thoughts on Group Leader
Eduardo was in control of the trip and to certain degree much of the town as well? An influential person if you know what I mean?
Advice for Potential Travellers
Allow an extra 50 euros budget on top of Exodus version. There are a number of extras not included in trip that you get taken to and expected to pay?

Cycling Puglia and Matera
As a novice to cycling the group could not have been more supportive and helpful in getting me to learn the joy of gears. Thank you one and all.
Matera and the Puglia region are fabulous if you get the chance to visit SE Italy do. Matera and Leece are candidates for European Capital of Culture 2019 and both would be worthy winners. Leece would pip it for me because of the architectural ruins.
The Adriatic coast is beautiful and the smell of liquorice on the wind is amazing.
Most Inspirational Moment
Not sure I can pinpoint "the most" inspirational moment the whole trip was fab even the going slightly off course and getting up all those hills character building.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Being a group leader is not an easy task and I have the utmost respect for anyone who gives up their time and energy to do so. For me a bit more information at the start of the day in regard to the route we were taking would have been helpful.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Keep the group leaders mobile number on your person just in case you do go a bit off course so the leader can find you.
