CUBA HIGHLIGHTS
An excellent experience for the occasional cyclist who wants to see and experience the unique sights and sounds of this fascinating country. Extremely well-led by first-rate guides who convey the sense of history whilst, also, making sure that you enjoy the holiday.
Most Inspirational Moment
Visiting the amazing old town of Trinidad. It has an eventful history that encompasses the slave trade and tabacco plantation era. Nowadays the 'owners' original estate mansion is preserved as it was centuries ago, whilst the 'workers' tiny terraced houses provide a remarkable contrast to the palacial style of the mansion.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was a font of knowledge who guided the group with such a natural and friendly style. It's impossible to find any shortfall.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I wish that I had read a little more of Cuba's history prior to the trip. There was so much to take-in that I'm sure that I missed many interesting features.

Fascinating Wildlife and People.
A fascinating introduction to an island of great contrasts. Apparently endless wilderness sitting alongside equally endless miles of Palm Oil plantations, and surprisingly modern cities.
Most Inspirational Moment
Surprisingly, not the orang-utans, wonderful though they were. My own 'wow' moment was visiting the enormous Deer Cave and watching the many thousands of bats heading out into the darkening evening sky. Magical.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Rony was friendly, enthusiastic, helpful, knowledgeable. One of the very best tour leaders I've come across.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Expect to get wet. Expect to get hot and sweaty. Take good but lightweight walking boots. Go with the flow.

Lemosho Route - a perfect adventure!
This is one of the longest routes up Kili. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to climb this mountain. The extra days certainly gave us the time needed to acclimatise to ever increasing altitude. The tour was well organised and we were expertly looked after – our safety was paramount at all times and the guides were constantly checking on us to ensure that we were showing no signs of altitude sickness. A wonderful experience and a great trek!
Most Inspirational Moment
Reaching Stella point after many hours of walking in the dark was exhilarating. Going on from there to the summit was easy.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was great. We all felt very safe and he was 100% approachable.

Discover Chile
I really enjoyed the trip because it covers the whole country of Chile, the north from the desert to the south of Patagonia
Most Inspirational Moment
Waking up early in the morning to see geysers because sunrise
Thoughts on Group Leader
My group leader is friendly, she is helpful when I had any questions. We have a small group of travelers in this tour and we all took care of each other
Advice for Potential Travellers
carry appropriate clothing from desert like temperature of 31 degree to the Patagonia temperature of 7 degree with strong winds.
Also, be mindful about the change of altitude at the desert area

Cycling Cuba
Cycling is such an awesome way to see a country! And Cuba is no exception, its’ mostly quiet roads makes it a great place to cycle. You’ll see more horses and carriages than cars/trucks in most places.
Most Inspirational Moment
Witnessing the tenacity, strength, and friendliness of the Cuban people, the vibrance of the culture that just oozes out, and the music!!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Yuri was patient and kind; combined with a good sense of humor, that put everyone at ease. His honesty and willingness to share about life in Cuba was endearing. Your tour leader "makes or breaks" your trip, and he was the best guide, that we've ever had. He was very knowledgeable about the history and politics of Cuba, and was able to give us lots of information at the sites we visited. He was able to calmly manage any issues that came up, despite having a group of 17 to look after. We felt taken care of, during the entire trip. Thank you!!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Go, you won't regret it!

Treasures of Sicily
This was a fantastic introduction to Sicily. We were fortunate to experience a tremendous range of wonderful scenery, atmospheric historical sites, beautiful towns and mouth-watering Sicilian delicacies in our 8 days on the island. This trip covers a lot of ground and the days are full in order to see as much as possible. As the clock had changed and we lost an hour, this being a late season departure, this sometimes meant we arrived at our final destination as light was fading which meant we saw some amazing sunsets but occasionally missed out on seeing the sites in daylight.
Most Inspirational Moment
The Valley of the Temples is truly awe-inspiring and the landscape on Etna was like walking on the moon!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Fabio was a terrific guide. He really knew his stuff and communicated his knowledge and passion for his island, its history and heritage with genuine enthusiasm and humour. He went out of his way to ensure everybody enjoyed the trip.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Don't forget to take your camera. Also make sure you've got comfy walking shoes, not just for Etna but also for the Zingaro Nature Reserve, as the terrain in both can be a bit uneven in places.

Amalfi Pompei & Pizza
A lovely holiday. A week of sunshine in late October. Great views, great food, fantastic historical and cultural sites.
Most Inspirational Moment
Climbing to the summit of Mt. Vesuvius. Whilst a simple climb for many, I am visually impaired, so this was a great challenge for me. Our Leader, Suzie, was very supportive, knowing when to offer assistance and when to retreat. Fantastic views from the crater edge and what a buzz for the achievement.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Suzie was informative, approachable and clearly loved the area she was guiding us through.
Advice for Potential Travellers
A good pair of boots for Mt. Vesuvius and The Walk of the Gods.

Fantastic Peru - Inca Trail and Amazon
We were lucky enough to have Wilbert as our tour leader who looked after our group with a great deal of patience and humour. His local knowledge was fantastic and organisational skills excellent and he was a brilliant ambassador for Peru. He was really concerned that we all had a great time.
We were lucky with the weather and were able to get to the mud lick to see the macaws. That and seeing a sloth within a few feet of us on our canoes were the highlight of the Amazon stay. The Inca trail was hard but manageable, Carlos being an excellent local guide. Scenery amazing, and a real sense of achievement getting to the Sun Gate. Home stay was charming with genuinely friendly families.
Most Inspirational Moment
Getting to the Sun Gate on the Inca Trail and seeing Machu Picchu below you.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Couldn't have asked for a better leader than Wilbert - he was always concerned that we were having the best time possible.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take a bit more money than suggested, quite a lot of tips and extra lunches to pay for. A 25l - 30l daypack needed, my 20l was a little too small. We went a day early which did give us a bit of time to get ourselves together.

Thoughts on Group Leader
Jose our group leader was fantastic, really informative and passionate about his country. Explained the itinerary and routes well, nothing was ever too much trouble.
