Must-See Blue Destinations

Read time- 3 minutes

Blue Monday. Synonymous for post-Christmas blues, long, dark evenings and a general sense of gloom in the air, this National Awareness Day isn’t normally a cause for celebration. However, at Exodus, we think this is a perfect opportunity to start planning your next year of unforgettable adventures across the Americas. In keeping with the blue theme, we’ve handpicked a couple of our favourite blue destinations to spark your spirit of wanderlust this January!

1. Canadian Rockies Wilderness Walk

If you’re looking for shimmering crystal-clear lakes, towering cobalt blue glaciers and babbling brooks, British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies deliver. On this epic journey through the great outdoors, enjoy spectacular views of Saskatchewan Glacier, an exhilarating walk to the Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park and sweeping panoramas of Moraine Lake. Should you wish to tear yourself away from nature’s blue masterpieces on our Canadian Rockies Wilderness Walk, you’ll discover this region is brimming with wildlife. It’s not uncommon when hiking along this extensive network of trails to catch sights of soaring eagles, deer, moose and black bears in their natural habitats.

Aside from its sugary white sands, fuchsia pink sunsets and lush forests, many ventures to this tropical paradise for the spectacular snorkelling opportunities. Boasting a seemingly endless stream of technicolour coral reefs and deep turquoise grottoes, enjoy a snorkelling adventure and Zodiac tour in Kealakekua Bay in search of bluestripe butterflyfish, Potter’s Angelfish and the blue dotty Yellow-tail Wrasse, for an adventure you won’t forget. On our Hawaiian Islands Adventure, you’ll also get the chance to visit Pearl Harbour and delve into the traditional customs of the Hawaiian culture at Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park.
