Yala Park Driver Support
Providing food and medical supplies for Yala Park drivers
Before travel was paused, our core team of National Park jeep drivers played a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for Exodus travellers, by transporting them around the spectacular Yala National Park in Sri Lanka. Our operator team wanted to support our drivers and their families in their difficult time of need.
Our Community Kickstart grant purchased and distributed a month’s worth of food, sanitary and medical rations for seven families. Our operator team communicated directly with each family to understand what their key needs were, and then distributed the supplies themselves.
“In the midst of the concern and sadness we felt for our extended teams across the world at this time of huge economic difficulty, we are so heartened by initiatives such as this one in Sri Lanka. It was a tough time for all our local partners, which is why it’s all the more inspiring to see them devise ways of supporting those who would normally play such a key role in making Exodus’ adventures possible.”– Kasia Morgan, Exodus Head of Sustainability and Community
