View at Annapurna mountain range and its reflection in Phewa lake in Pokhara, Nepal

Annapurna Trips

The Annapurnas are spectacular and create a very different setting to the neighbouring Everest region. The former lays claim to the Annapurna Sanctuary – a natural amphitheatre ringed by mountain giants – and the view from Poon Hill. The latter has Everest Base Camp, the Sherpa heartland and the hilltop monastery at Thyangboche. That said, the Annapurnas are probably the most accessible 8000m range in the world, and contain some of the planet's most spectacular treks. The foothills are just a short drive from the lake town of Pokhara, and Annapurna tours in these lowlands are suited to most walkers.

Both offer big mountain panoramas; the Everest region is perhaps more stark and rugged in appearance, as most of the trekking here is above the tree line. What you cannot escape in either place is the fabulous warm hospitality of the Nepali people and the superb support of our experienced staff on the trek.
