We were a small group of 5. The campsites were scenic with tents put up around the shade of a tree, exotic birds in the branches. The tents were roomy for 2 and you could stand up in them. The mattresses comfortable at least 2 inches thick. The facilities a t the sites were always good – hot showers and a pool but usually no Wifi. Just have to get used to low level snoring from other tents! Huge armoured crickets – we loved them.

The Peruvian landscape, history and culture were captivating and I still can’t believe how much we experienced. There were some long days and early starts, but we loved every minute and will cherish each memory. Our fellow travelers were a great group and we shared a lot of laughs. Kudos to our leader Renzo for making this a seamless journey through his amazing country.
