Amazing scenery, almost surreal because the shape of the mountains is so unique. Excellent hotel with great food. Very flexible and responsive guide. A great variety in the chosen walks.

In May there was still snow at the top across land which had some old WW1 trenches. Need to proceed very carefully.
Great trip along the Atlantic coastline – amazing scenery, food and people. The cycling is mostly on cycle paths and the route is largely flat (though not entirely!) with a variety of scenery – coastline views, pine forests, coastal villages and nature reserves. The itinerary is well thought out, with time to explore both Porto and Lisbon with a walking tour in both cities and free time too. The food was excellent throughout and the excellent leaders (Armando and Ruben) suggested some great restaurants for meals not included in the itinerary. I particularly enjoyed the stop in Obidos, a lovely mediaeval town with cobbled streets and a castle to wander around.

Armando was our tour leader, with Ruben ably assisting and driving the support vehicle. They were both superb, among the best leaders I've encountered on many trips. Both were friendly and enthusiastic, with a wealth of knowledge on all things Portugal. Everything ran very efficiently and the choices they made for stops for coffee/lunch, plus evening meal recommendations were all spot-on.
We had an awesome trip through Tuscany. Our guides were both great and we lucked out with the weather. Our cycling itinerary was planned extremely well, ensuring we had a good blend of scenic routes, cultural encounters, and great food. I also thought that the breaks were well thought out as we stopped at historical sites and walled cities throughout the day often enjoying them with gelato and expresso. We stayed in great hotels and met a lot of great people. This trip is a great way to see Tuscany and is challenging yet extremely rewarding.

Michele was an awesome leader and was very knowledgable about the area. He also had many great suggestions for food.
Listen to your guides when they are talking about the surroundings as well as when they give restaurant suggestions.
Having spent a couple of days in Lisbon arranged by ourselves prior to the start of the holiday, we joined up with the group tour back at Lisbon Airport at the start of the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the week walking along the cliff tops and down to the beaches; the group was so friendly and dynamic. This was a full group with 15 people which really added something with people from other parts of the UK, US, and Canada. Francisco and Ines were amazing and probably two of the best leaders we have ever had on a group holiday; they were very thorough with their briefings and couldn’t do enough for us all. Their knowledge of the flora and fauna was very extensive, and what they weren’t sure of they looked it up instantly in a reference book! The three hotels we stayed in were all very good quality. The weather was fantastic, sunshine every day with a cooling breeze.
Seeing the storks nesting along the cliffs perched on pinnacles of rock in what seemed to be precarious positions; raising their young.
Both Francisco and Ines were very professional, very caring about the group getting the most from their holiday and sharing their knowledge of the local area and the wildlife. Their choices of restaurants when we wanted to have group dinners were excellent. The number of photographs they have shared with the group both during the trip and since we returned has been fantastic and it has been great to see the close ups that they were able to take with their ultra professional kit!
Be reasonably active in terms of walking; there are some considerable distances walking on sand. Wear a hat as the cliff tops are quite exposed, so best to use plenty of sunscreen.
What a great way to explore the south of Croatia. Starting at Split and then island hopping to Hvar, Korcular and Mljet and ending up in Dubrovnik. Stunning scenery, good food and a great group to share the trip with.
Having not visited Croatia before I didn’t realise that there were so many islands and the ones we visited were beautiful. The coastal rides were fabulous and dramatic especially on the last day riding through vineyards, olive oil groves and quiet villages. The small historic settlement of Ston was very interesting short stop on the way to Dubrovnik. For me Dubrovnik was an incredible place, Hotel a short bus ride into the city but if you wanted to sit by the beach and relax the hotel was only a few hundred metres from the sea.
Mate was a super guy. Very efficient, observant, organised, nothing too much trouble and made the trip a relaxed one. Pacing was good and you could go ahead if the roads allow. Each day was well organised especially when we had ferries to catch, water and snacks provided on some days, when and where to break and meet up with Tommy the driver of the bus and trailer. Mate very knowledgeable of his country and a great ambassador for Exodus and Croatia.
There are undulations along the route but the ups give great downs!! But Tommy with the bus was always there if you need him. The optional trip to Mljet is worth it.
A varied and interesting tour combining a view of city life in Seoul and Busan with visits to National parks, museums, mountains, folk museums, temples, markets and much more.
The overnight stay at Haeinsa Temple. What a privilege it was to observe life in the temple and to view Tripitaka Koreana. engraved on 80,000 woodblocks in the 13th century. The food was delicious, even though you had to eat it very quickly and it was good to experience eating a meal in silence. The views from the temple were breathtaking and the peace was sublime. I have read comments that have said that extra time in Busan would be preferable to the Temple stay. I disagree. I felt that the time in Busan was sufficient and would not have wanted to miss the Temple.
Our group leader Michelle was wonderful. She was conscientious and in each area took us to interesting places to eat so we could experience Korean cooking in different regions.
The temple advice is outdated. The rooms we stayed in were twin rooms, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are warm which is good because the temperature is cooler in the mountains.
One of my favourite Exodus trips, a combination of great locations, a fantastic tour leader and a really friendly group. I’ll definitely return to Croatia!
Dubrovnik was a fabulous city to visit, beautiful to walk round and also a great place to people watch, while enjoying a coffee & cake! The views from the city walls were stunning. Korcula was also a real gem, we found a lovely little restaurant in one of the side streets during our evening visit and enjoyed a surprise city tour with a great local tour guide!
Vanja ("mama duck"!) was a great group leader who really went over and above to ensure we all had a great time. It was a big group - 20 people - and a mix of ages, couples and solo travellers, and she made sure we were all really well looked after. Even during her "downtime" she was checking on her "ducklings"!
Book this trip and enjoy every minute! I'd say this was suitable for most ages and fitness levels, there was a good balance of sightseeing, walking, ferry trips, cities & islands. Not forgetting tasting local wines, liqueurs and produce. Something for everyone.
The trip was very tiring due to many early starts and very long bus journeys and the high altitude, but oh my goodness it was so worth it. Overall the trip far exceeded my expectations and ranks amongst the best experience of my lifetime.
It was, as it was always going to be, the visit to Machu Picchu. This fulfilled a very long held bucket list item for me. I did wonder whether it would turn out to be a disappointment, and I half expected it to be too busy. But the moment when we first stood at the viewpoint above the site was every bit as inspiring and emotional as I had hoped, and the numbers of people there were far less than I had anticipated. Having said all this, the condors at the Colca Canyon came a very close second to this. That exceeded my expectations by so much.
William was a fabulous your leader. I am sure that I would not have enjoyed the tour half as much as I did had it not been for his excellent leadership. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his country and the sites that we visited was inspirational. He helped us tremendously in identifying wild of the wildlife we saw, which is a great interest to us. On the one night that I struggled with altitude sickness he answered how phone immediately when I rung him in the middle of the night and was so sympathetic and helpful. I cannot thank William enough for all his assistance throughout the holiday
Don't worry too much about the altitude sickness. I had heard so many horror stories about it beforehand that I got quite anxious about it, but in the end it was no big deal. Don't be fooled by the guidance given in various sites about the cost of meals in Peru. We found that in average they were over twice as expensive as we had expected. Bring plenty of currency. Don't worry too much about the home stay. I can't honestly day that I was looking forward to that, but it turned out to be a rewarding experience.
A really enjoyable holiday in a beautiful location. It was fun to have the opportunity to visit different areas and staying in multiple locations meant that we got to see more of the area. The organisation was super smooth in every aspect. The coastline is very unspoilt with the most amazing views, and the beaches seemed never ending; one more beautiful than the next. The storks perched on the ends of the rocks are just amazing and with binoculars and zoom lens we could get really close to them. Our expert guides were passionate and enthusiastic about this lovely region and brought it to life with their knowledge of the landscape and history.
It's really difficult to pinpoint a particular moment - the holiday as a whole was just so enjoyable. The three hotels in the different villages were lovely - very well chosen and all with great facilities, but the one in Sagres was a particularly nice treat. Restaurants were also great, including the recommendations for the free day / evenings. We had great packed lunches, delicious and sourced locally.
We had two group leaders - Francisco and Ines - and they were fantastic in making sure that everything ran smoothly in the background - nothing seemed too much trouble and they were super patient looking after us all. I was very impressed at their knowledge of the area and we gained a lot from the walks from Francisco's expertise in all things flora and fauna, not to mention the birds. We all learnt a lot about the challenges to the landscape and stories of local history which brought the place to life.
I would highly recommend this trip. The walks are not over long, and are well paced, but you do need to be fit to enjoy them. The stops and lunch breaks were well placed, with opportunities to swim at points at glorious beaches. Walking on some of the dunes was quite hard work! so walking boots or shoes are definitely the best footwear.
Unfortunately, I was unable to join the Walking the Amalfi Coast group as it was fully booked, so I chose Highlights of Amalfi Coast instead because it seemed similar and included the visit to Pompeii. In hindsight, for me and a few others who had chosen the tour for the same reason, it wasn’t the right choice. I was looking for a more physically demanding adventure holiday and the Highlights tour is not that. It’s a gentle pace tour with only a few slightly physical moments, with late starts, early finishes, transport everywhere by bus, leisurely wandering, and shopping time. POSITIVES: Wonderful views, excellent food, lovely fellow travelers on the tour, well-organized each day. The tour offers a light touch of all things Amalfi Coast so you get to see the highlights in a comfortable manner. NEGATIVES: 1. The hotel is located in the hills, so long hours were spent each day on the bus/coach, traveling at a snail’s pace on clogged, windy roads. 2. Only two hours spent in Pompeii – too short. The main reason I booked the tour was for Pompeii and Herculaneum and, to be escorted out of Pompeii after only two hours, having only seen a small segment while other tourists roamed freely, was deeply disappointing. Pompeii is a far larger site than Herculaneum and it requires a longer visit. 3. The Path of the Gods’ walk was highly anticipated and the vistas were stunning; however, we got turned around only part way along and it was too short. SUMMARY: A well-organized and leisurely tour with everything arranged and transport provided. However, for active, seasoned travelers seeking a physical adventure, this tour may not be satisfying enough.
For me, the day trip to Herculaneum and Pompeii was the highlight, however, the time spent at Pompeii was not nearly long enough. The day trip to Ravello was also a highlight - it's a lovely trip and a pretty place to visit. I just wish that the weather had been warmer. Travel in September / October if you are looking for some italian summer sun.

I recommend you pay the extra supplement to upgrade your room - do it when making your tour booking as it may be too late to change after you've arrived at the hotel. The south-facing rooms with balconies are sunny and light and they are the premium rooms. April is COLD on the Amalfi Coast so be sure to wear a warm jacket if you're traveling at this time. If there is sun there will likely be cold winds, so you won't be laying on the beach and sunning yourself on this trip. No need for walking boots, poles, or backpacks (other than a small daypack) - this tour is not that kind of adventure. You will be asked for extra money to pay for tips and lunches.
