Vineyards in Stellenbosch vs vineyards in the Loire Valley

Cycle among Mountain Passes, Silent Forests and Lush Vineyards

Wrapped inside dramatic coastline and rugged interiors, Cape Town is hugged on all sides by pure, natural beauty. As you cycle the Cape and Winelands of South Africa, you can take time to digest the most spellbinding sights as well as the food and famous wines of the region. Explore Cape Town and Table Mountain, visit the southernmost point of Africa and savour the exotic wines of Stellenbosch. You’ll also have the chance to learn about the culture, history and wildlife as you cycle along peaceful and scenic routes.

After sampling the delights of South Africa, why not head to Portugal later in the year and join our Porto to Lisbon ride. Enjoy the opportunity to explore Porto’s famous wine cellars before pedalling to the historic “azulejos” tile village of Ovar and on towards the Aveiro lagoon and São Jacinto dunes. Your journey continues to follow the Silver Coast where you can stop to try the delicious seafood in the medieval village of Obidos, before transferring to Lisbon’s vibrant city streets.

Sicily cuisine versus Tuscany cuisine

Live La Dolce Vita and Taste your Way Through Italy

The birthplace of cannoli and arancini, Sicily is world-famous for its food and fine wines. When you embark on our Sicily Food Adventure, all of your senses will be seduced by the sights, sounds, smells and flavours of Italy, and summer is the perfect time to go. Not only will you savour the vibrant street food of Palermo and sip wine in Marsala, but you’ll also get hands-on at a cookery class in Trapani.

Once you’ve had a taste of Italy, no doubt you’ll want to want to explore further, and our Chianti Walking and Wine trip lets you do just that. On a par with the cuisine of Sicily, Tuscany brings you rustic flavours like you’ve never tasted before and is great to explore in autumn. As you walk through landscapes of chestnut forests, olive groves and vineyards, you’ll visit the medieval market town of Greve in Chianti and the fortified hilltop village of Montefioralle, before heading to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Siena where you’ll learn more about Chianti and other famous Italian wine at the Wine School of Siena. This immersive trip gives you a first-hand insight into the rustic food, culture and fascinating history of Tuscany.

Finnish Kota Dining vs Cheese room in the Dolomites

Tuck into Hearty Dishes to Keep you Warm on Winter Adventures

Finnish Lapland, the ultimate winter wonderland, is home to ancient forests, the Northern Lights and the heartiest, yet healthiest, Lappish dishes. In January and February, the enchanting landscapes glisten with thick snow, making it the perfect destination for cross-country skiing, ice climbing, husky rides, and snowshoeing. On our Finnish Wilderness Weekyou’ll be chomping at the bit to sample the local food. Finnish kotas are small wooden huts that can be found along country trails and feature large open fires in the centre for cooking traditional dishes using red meat, fish and game. We also recommend trying the hot blueberry juice and leipäjuusto (bread cheese).

If you love a winter adventure, why not look forward to Christmas 2022 with Snowshoeing in the DolomitesDiscover one of Italy’s most spectacular mountain ranges, nestled in the Alta Pusteria Valley on this exhilarating snowshoe adventure. Exploring Fanes-Sennes Natural Park, you’ll snowshoe along the shoreline of Lago di Braies towards the foothills of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, arguably one of the most iconic images of the Dolomites. With all of these hours spent snowshoeing through old military tracks in the Italian wilderness, you’ll have worked up quite an appetite, but don’t worry, your accommodation for the trip, Hotel Adler, comes with delicious Italian sharing platters, Michelin recommended cuisine and a relaxing wellness centre.
