Camino de Santiago
This was a terrific cycling holiday with some challenging and varied riding days. The guides, Nacho and Xavier, were well organized as well as being humorous and entertaining. Each day brought different challenges whether that be riding a trail that was more akin to a mountain bike trail or the 6km killer hill that was so thick with fog at tge end that it felt eerie or even the 14km downhill which was a great opportunity to get in touch with your inner child.
Most Inspirational Moment
Climbing the 6km killer hill that was prefaced by a 4km hill that was challenging in its own right. It was at the end of a 62km day and after backing up from such a miserable previous day it was quite a euphoric feeling charging up that hill ( I made it a workout and gave myself a time to do it in)
Thoughts on Group Leader
Nacho was terrific. A great personality who was good for a laugh but also took his role as leader very seriously.
His offsider Xavier, was a great back up and the two of them made a great team.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Make sure you train properly. If you are coming out of an Australian winter try and do at least 3 Spin sessions a week. If you can get out complement the Spin classes with some hill training on a real bike. If you are a fair weathered cyclist and you like to ride around a lake on a Sunday this isn't the trip for you . Like most things in life you only get out of it what you put in. Most people don't do strenuous cycling 6 days in a row let alone challenging hills that you will encounter on this trip. Have a coke at lunch time too it helps you get through the afternoon.

Cilento and Amalfi cycle trip
Enjoyable trip through some scenic locations and good accommodation.
Most Inspirational Moment
Thoroughly enjoyed the last day's cycling along the Amalfi coast. Fabulous views and I felt that the drivers along that busy road were considerate to the cyclists.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Paolo was a good leader, and was a great support to me personally when I struggled in the heat/climbs on the first day. Safety for the group was paramount to him, so sometimes I missed the reward of speeding down the descents after a tough climb.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Beware teh mosquitos in the agroturismo stop - they were waiting for us and the repellants seemed to be to their liking.

Walking in Albania
A well thought out itinerary to show various places of interest as well as good walks off the beaten track
Most Inspirational Moment
The family home at over 5,000 feet self sufficient having cows, sheep and chickens.
Thoughts on Group Leader
A friendly informative chap but let too much time slide by to miss a few things
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you book this for the walking and after all it is called walking in Albania you need to get at the guide about time to get everything done

Classic Kenya
What a fantastic week. I have to say that it surpassed even my expectations. Previously I had been to Tanzania and that was great, but this holiday will be hard to beat. A great group of fellow travellers coupled with excellent guides in a beautiful setting with a host of various animals.
Most Inspirational Moment
Driving across the Masi Mari and viewing the big Cats. Not just once, but on several occasions and being just a few meters from them. The seem just not to be bothered. Seeing the "Chase" the "Kill" the "Attack" such photo opportunities, not to be missed.Even sightings of Rhino.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our tour leaders were the "Drivers/Guides". We could not have asked for more from them.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Have a good camera. And be prepared for the holiday of a lifetime.

Walking in Provence - TEA
Different walks each day with amazing views towards the Alps. Not too strenuous and the ascents/descents are not that difficult if taken slowly.
Most Inspirational Moment
Visiting the beautiful town of Moustiers and looking down in the Verdon Gorges.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Pierre had been thrown in at the deep end as the regular tour leader could not make it. Shy at first, he soon got used to us and became an important part of the group. His knowledge of the area could not be faulted and his pace on the walks was always sensible.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take a travelling kettle as there are no coffee/tea making facilities. Don't expect gourmet food and make sure you ask for the cheese course!

Picos de Europe
Spectacular mountain walking, sometimes through meadows, woods and on rough tracks. The walking got progressively harder each day, it was challenging without being difficult. The pace was well judged, those who wanted to walk a bit faster were encouraged to go on ahead with directions of where to wait for the rest of the group. Alvaro our guide was knowledgeable and caring, he made the holiday extremely enjoyable. The weather (in September 2014) was perfect. Hotel Torrecerredos was an excellent location, very close to the town. Jim’s cooking was excellent with good vegetarian options. Really could not fault this holiday in any way.
Most Inspirational Moment
Can't pinpoint one moment, the Cares Gorge was spectacular and the higher ascents were breathtaking, it is just such a worthwhile experience.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Outstanding, extremely knowledgeable on the local area (born and bred nearby) and passionate about the Picos, he took great care in looking after those who needed extra help.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Carry plenty of water and take a sunhat. I took poles although I'd never used them before and was grateful for them. I definitely recommend this trip.

Classic Dolomites
5 days fantastic hiking in the Dolomites. You can have an idealistic view that the area is beautiful and yes this trip lived fully up to expectations.
Most Inspirational Moment
Getting past the narrow ledge on the way to the three chimneys
Thoughts on Group Leader
Group leader Karl - excellent. He did a great job welcoming everyone and making the group at ease. Also good sense of humour along with some excellent tall tales. It was great to have a leader in which you had total confidence in. His knowledge of the area was second to none.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I have a certain nervousness re heights. I managed all the hikes thanks to good advice by Karl.

Cycling in Sardinia
Our guides, Enrico and Giovanni, can take much credit for an excellent holiday. The coastal rides are beautiful and the hotels are very comfortable.
There may be scope to improve on the dinner options however.
Most Inspirational Moment
Getting on top of the hills!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Both group leaders were excellent. They really got along with each other and both had a sense of humour.

Prague to Budapest trip
A beautiful way to see a little bit of 4 countries. I wish we had a rest day in Vienna as we had very little time to see anything. Two shorter ride days in Hungary could have easily been combined to give a day to see amazing Vienna.
The first three riding days in Czech Republic were hillier than I expected as the trip notes say it is not a hilly ride. Day 3 in particular was a long, hilly day. Do some hill riding before you go.
The trip could have been better organized at times and some of the hotels were in rather poor condition, but overall, I enjoyed the trip. The scenery is incredible and I will visit these countries again!
Most Inspirational Moment
Seeing the fields of sunflowers mile after mile, and the beautiful wheat fields. Hard not to feel life is good!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Dana was very nice and wanted everyone to have a good time. More knowledge of the history and towns we visited would have been nice. Also more knowledge about the restaurants as we arrived in a new town would have been helpful so we didn't have to wander looking for a good place to eat. That's fun sometimes but when you're tired, advice is great!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring your own bike seat. The seats on the bikes are not very comfortable. Also, if you're a tall man, bring your own bike. The tallest bike frame was 20 inches. I am 5'8" and the two tall men on the trip who were well over 6 feet had the same bike as I did. They were not impressed and were often uncomfortable.
I took the trip in July and it was often very hot. Bring a large water bottle and electrolyte tablets.

We would like to assure Sandra that the trip manger has taken her feedback on board and that our local operator is conducting a review of the bikes available to our clients, to ensure that they are of the standard and variety we expect. We are very glad that Sandra has been inspired to return to the countries visited on this trip and we hope that we will also be able to welcome her on another trip elsewhere soon – Exodus Customer Services
