Fantastic – great photographic trip. A lot of days at sea though – so an interest in sea-birds useful! South Georgia should be a must for anyone who enjoys photographing wildlife, so the time toget there is well worthwhile.
Gold Harbour on a sunny day with blue skies and mating elephant seals all over the place; and Shackleton's grave
Excellent - the best we've had on 4 antarctic trips
Be on the first zodiac going to land, and one the last one back! And take lots of sea-sickness tablets
Cycling is a great way to see Sri Lanka – cycling through the small villages we always got a friendly welcome. Beautiful scenery also.
Seeing one of the less experienced cyclists tough it out on the hardest day - cycling about 12 hours and a fair portion uphill. She got in at 7:30pm and was just determined to make it to the finish line.
A Sri Lankan fellow doing his first solo tour - he did very well and was really kind hearted. Liked him alot.
It really is very hard to get cycling gear in Sri Lanka - even if you can find it, most stock stops at 'Asian' medium size which is kinda small.
I had a ball! Morocco was amazing not what i expected, a nice surprise. The holiday was organised very well by Exodus i thought Marrakech was just the right mixture of culture and fun. The climb to the top of the two summits was gruelling but extremely rewarding! I met a group of fab people and we all got on really well. I would definately visit Morocco again.
Standing on the summit of Jebel Toubkal. The climb to the summit was gruelling, traversing snow and ice with crampons was demanding coupled to ascending in altitute, but that adds to the sense of achievement when you reach the summit.
Great, i was less fit and suffered more with altitiute than the rest of the group but he was very patient and always engaged me in conversation. He was also very knowledgeable on the history and culture of Morocco.Couldnt fault the group leader.
Approach the trip with confidence and optimism and you'll have a great time.
A good way of getting a taste of a lot of the country. Note: this means a lot of travel time.
The friendliness of the locals.
Excellent
The moderate/challenging rating applies more to the amount of travelling and number of excursions undertaken than the strenuousness of the activities.
A well organised, hassle free week in Jordan. Excellent leader and a happy group . Jordan is an interesting country with good infrastructure and of course has ‘star’ attractions like Petra and Jerash
has to be Petra - much bigger than you would expect and was very quiet in December! You are able to get away to unfrequented parts of the site with only a bit of effort .
He was good fun and as you would expect very knowledgeable on his country and region
Jordan is as expensive as Uk for meals and general expenses so don't expect a cheap economy
A cracking short trip, lots to do, lots to see, great variety. This really exceeded expectations
Petra is fantastic - great two days, be prepared to walk alot to see all it has to offer. The night sky in Wadi Rum was stunning, in fact the whole Wadi Rum part was fantastic
Khalid was very good, efficient, always there when needed and made the trip easy.
Suitable for all sorts, we had a mixed age group that got along very well. A headtorch for Wadi Rum is useful.
A brilliant trip with a great bunch of people.
The midnight start of the summit day with the heart pounding and adrenaline flowing. I would say the summit photo but I was so knackered by then I can hardly remember it!
An excellent guide and a great guy to chat to. Very knowledgable, very calm and a good laugh
The trip was a fairly relaxed yet thorough exploration of Croatian mountains along with a visit to its coastline. Its a well balanced trip that won’t leave you needing extra sleep but will still let you get in some good walks and great scenery. We had two elderly people with us who were able to enjoy the more casual routes when the group decided to go for more vast inclines
Camping overnight in the Velabit National Park. It was in the heart of the Croatian mountains but we were high enough so that we could see the coastline. The group really got to know each other and the scenery was fantastic. The weather was great and it was a really special experienc to be able to sleep up in the heart of the mountains. Lodging was comfortable and warm, I preferred it to the hotels on the shore!
Our group leader was enthusiastic and caring and had a lot of knowledge of the local area. A great guide
This is a fairly standard walking trip, nothing special you need to consider or take.
Stunning scenery, friendly staff and varied/fun activities
Learning to Cross-country ski - something I've wanted to do for a while.
Hanna was amazing - organising almost everything, keeping the group together, whilst having a laugh with us all.
Take some Marshmallows for toasting on the many open fires! If you have your own ski gloves - take them. The ice climbing was really hard, but don't be discouraged if you don't make it to the top (I didn't). I've perviusly ice climbed on glacier ice (heavily compacted snow not frozen water) and made 4 climbs in a few hours.
