What a fantastic trip. Great group, felt like I was laughing all the time. The leader, Michele, was full of energy and organised little extras that really made the trip memorable. The hotels were good too, particularly the masseria, and the cycling was great fun.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible “Cycle the Coast of Kerala” trip with Exodus Travels, and it was an absolute dream come true. Every aspect of this journey, from the breathtaking landscapes to the exceptional guidance, exceeded all my expectations. The itinerary was meticulously planned, allowing us to soak up the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Kerala at our own pace. The cycling routes were well-chosen, taking us through picturesque coastal villages, lush greenery, and serene backwaters, offering an authentic glimpse into the soul of this beautiful region. The accommodations provided by Exodus were top-notch. From comfortable stays in charming local lodges to luxurious nights in beachside resorts, each place offered a unique experience, blending modern amenities with the traditional charm of Kerala. The trip leaders were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to offer support and guidance. Their deep understanding of the local culture, history, and geography truly enriched our journey, making it more than just a cycling adventure but an immersive cultural experience. Furthermore, the local cuisine was a highlight of the trip. From delectable seafood dishes to flavorful spices, every meal was a celebration of Kerala’s rich culinary heritage. The team made sure we got to savor the authentic flavors of the region, adding an unforgettable dimension to our travel experience. Overall, I cannot recommend this trip enough. It’s a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Exodus Travels has truly crafted a remarkable itinerary, leaving me with cherished memories and a profound appreciation for the beauty of Kerala. I will undoubtedly cherish the moments and look back on this trip with fondness for years to come. Thank you, Exodus, for an unforgettable experience!
A particularly inspirational moment during the trip was our stay at a traditional homestay nestled amidst the lush greenery of a Kerala village. Engaging with the warm and welcoming local family, hearing their stories, and sharing in their everyday life offered a profound insight into the rich cultural fabric of Kerala. Experiencing their genuine hospitality, delicious home-cooked meals, and participating in their daily routines created a sense of kinship and belonging that transcended cultural boundaries.
Our group leader, Shibu, was an extraordinary guide whose passion for the region was infectious. His deep-rooted knowledge of the local culture, history, and natural wonders added an unparalleled depth to our journey. Shibu's unwavering dedication to ensuring our safety, comfort, and enjoyment was truly commendable. His friendly demeanor, coupled with his excellent organizational skills, fostered a sense of camaraderie within our group, making the trip not just an adventure but a shared experience of joy and discovery. Shibu's genuine enthusiasm and genuine care for each member of the group made our journey along the coast of Kerala all the more enriching and memorable.
Hydration is Key: Stay hydrated at all times by carrying a refillable water bottle and drinking water regularly, even if you do not feel thirsty. Replenishing lost fluids is crucial in combating the effects of heat and humidity. Light Clothing and Sun Protection: Opt for lightweight, breathable clothing that covers your skin to protect it from the sun. Additionally, use sunscreen with a high SPF, wear sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat to shield yourself from the intense sunlight.
Very helpful and patient.
DEFINITELY Bring insect repellent.
Our holiday lived up to all our hopes and expectations
Italy was a highlight!
Nicco was an excellent guide. It is difficult to get a balance between imparting knowledge & seeming to constantly lecture people but Nicco generally managed to find this balance.
Our group had 10 people in it -a really great size. Our guide was great-super knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Our accommodations in Umbria were wonderful.
I loved everything-due to great variety. Never a dull moment!
Enjoyed his sense of humour

Very busy trip with some days of long travel between venues , but plenty of comfort stops / lunch stops along the way Saw many major cultural sites and so much history with associated information provided by Gaj ( leader) or local guides at venues. Some hotels had swimming pools so worth taking your swim gear. A cool down after the day spent in bright sunshine and 40 degree heat was most welcome .
Difficult to pick one , obviously the Taj Mahal hugely impressive but then again the history of some forts/ temples/ towns also impressive.
Gaj dealt very well with a challenging individual in the group , whose behaviour ranged from hysterical meltdown ( matching a level usually only seen in a toddler) , general passive /aggressive attitude and comments , who also had an inability to follow simple instructions regarding timekeeping and not wandering off alone - something the rest of the group complied with which then meant we spent ages hanging around waiting for said individual to be retrieved from a cultural building in order for us all to move on . Gaj remained professional , courteous , diplomatic and polite at all times despite some obvious provocation from aforementioned person. Gaj was more than happy to discuss his home nation , culture , history and current problems.
Take some sweets/snacks for the minibus. Lunch en route may not happen at specific times so wise to have own supply if peckish. Take swim gear , sun screen and a hat. Go with the flow , enjoy the experiences and food .
