Great adventure and my first trip to Africa. Starting in South Africa with good wine and penguins, onto Namibia seeing the second largest canyon in the world, ancient cave paintings and sunrise at the Sossusvlei dunes. It’s a great trip if you are no rush and limited by time. Sit back and enjoy the scenery go by. Extend your trip both at the beginning and end. There’s lots to do in Cape Town and many adventure activities to try in Victoria Falls. Wildlife in Etosha and Chobe was incredible. Abundance of zebras, giraffes, elephants and special spottings of cheetahs, lions. Kanoeing on the Orange river and the mokoro ride in Botswana were also special things to mention. The long drive days are a small sacrifice to see all there is on the itinerary!

Five ways to see Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls Trips
Without doubt one of the most impressive waterfalls in the world, the mighty Victoria Falls stretch for more than a kilometre between Zambia and Zimbabwe, as the Zambezi River tumbles 108m into a narrow gorge. When Dr David Livingstone first set eyes upon the falls, he wrote in his diary that “scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”.
Locally called Mosi-oa-Tuna, meaning ‘the smoke that thunders’, the falls are so powerful they can be heard from 40km away, while the spray and mist rises 400m into the air (sometimes creating hundreds of rainbows) and can be seen from 50km away. Victoria Falls tours can get you up close to the thundering water on the Zambian side, show you the vista from the Zimbabwean side, or take you sky-high to see the spectacle from above… however you experience the falls, you’ll be witnessing one of the planet’s most amazing sights.

Joshua Raubenheimer Botswana & Zimbabwe Lodge SafariThis trip was genuinely spectacular. I went into it with so much excitement and anticipation, and came home with my expectations completely blown out the water! Somehow, every day on the trip seems to get better and better. Every day, you end off thinking ‘what else could we possibly see?’ – and somehow, the following day delivers something just as, if not more spectacular. If you have your eye on this trip and are thinking about booking – let this be the review to push you over the line in just going ahead and booking – you will NOT regret it!
Sue Beesley Botswana & Zimbabwe Lodge SafariA truly wonderful trip. A chance to travel into Zimbabwe – an African country I hadn’t visited before – and to revisit Botswana staying in comfortable lodges, plus the highlight of wild camping for 2 nights in the Okavango Delta. Very comfortable transport which was appreciated on the couple of long drives on bumpy roads. A great group of travel companions (including our guide) who enjoyed the shared experiences and lots of laughter and banter during evening meals and a memorable sunset cruise.
