2. Trekking the Camino de Santiago

Hike El Camino in 2027 and you’ll do so with pilgrims celebrating an Año Xacobeo (Camino Holy Year). This extra-special event only takes place when the Feast of Saint James (25 July) falls on a Sunday and sees celebrations take place throughout the year. It’s also the only time when the Porta Santa (Holy Door) of Santiago Cathedral is opened, allowing pilgrims to enter and follow a tradition stretching back thousands of years.
