On all our centre-based walking holidays we stay at a small hotel, private lodge or farmhouse for the duration of the trip, taking the hassle away from having to unpack each day. There is always plenty of time to relax, with optional visits or walks available for those who wish. These trips are perfect for couples, singles or groups of friends travelling together, with each accommodation hand-picked for its character and location, quality of food and warm welcome on your return from a day’s exploration.

Solo travel

Around half our small-group trips are filled by solo travellers, joining other single travellers, couples and groups of friends. It’s a great way to meet new people, and you’ll never have to pay a single-person supplement. You’ll share a room with someone of the same sex – although in some instances you can choose to pay extra for your own room – and often these people become friends for life.

That’s the great thing about our guided-group adventures: you’re guaranteed to be travelling with like-minded people from a range of backgrounds. And age differences just don’t matter.

This trip exceeded all my expectations and we discovered parts of Andalucia I never knew existed. April was the perfect month for hiking, and the weather was warm and sunny but not too overwhelming. It was grade 2 but most of us found the uphills a bit challenging, but not impossible. We saw the most magnificent scenery, ate tapas in mountain villages, and were led by Miguel, one of the best guides I’ve ever experienced at Exodus. His expert knowledge of the area was second to none.

This was my first Exodus trip and I was already excitedly researching my next trip a couple of days in. As someone with a busy job I found having everything smoothly organised very relaxing and it meant lots of care and expertise went in to ensuring each day was delightful and our time was really maximised to explore the area and enjoy ourselves. Our group truly became like a little family for a week; we had a lot of fun and I felt very supported by the kindness and warmth of everyone. The walks were spectacular and the location of the hotel is perfect for facilitating varied walks and activities. The food was a real highlight; fresh and authentic and different each night.
