We had a fantastic tour with Luis and Teresa! They were both very attentive and had a wealth of knowledge about the places we visited. The walking was varied and the views were spectacular. Although the weather was not always the best, Luis and Teresa adapted the itinerary to ensure we could still have all the experiences promised. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic!
We joined 14 other folks for a wonderful week of cycling in Sicily. Beautiful towns and countryside steeped in history. Our tour guide Davide Di Mauro was exceptional – he looked after us start to finish. He made the trip so much more interesting than just a cycling holiday. His love of Sicily continually shone through.
Exploring such beautiful towns which I hardly knew. Palazzolo, Scicli, Noto, Modica, and the magnificent Siracusa.
Davide was excellent. His diligence, attention to detail, including bike safety, his knowledge and love of Sicily all made for a great holiday. If Davide is your guide - you will enjoy this cycling holiday.
My one reason not to give 5 stars, was that the joining instructions provided by Exodus had an error, and we showed up at the wrong hotel. Once sorted, all went very well.
The hiking in the Dolomites was awesome. One day was a little long 20km and not very interesting given the extra distance. But overall, I enjoyed all the hikes. The food is the hotel was disappointing. As a vegetarian, my choices were limited and the servings were quite small. One day we had 3/4 of a potatoes as our main. Another day it was a marinated vegetable. The advertised Tryrolian dinner was also not very good. Although the waiter was able to secure a chicken schnitzel and fries for those of us not eating beef.
Dinners were also too long after. Full day of hiking.
Standing in front of and among the Tre Cimes.
He tried hard. He was quiet at time. While we appreciated him allowing us to go at our pace, we worried a bit when he spit us the groups and sent some of us on our own.
Ask for menus in advance and try to get alternative meals prepared. Be prepared to hike longer and longer amounts than described in the trip notes.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, that said the first three days are quite challenging in both range and climbing, so managing the battery in the e-bike is essential to successfully complete the ride.
All of the hotels were to a very good standard and the food at the lunchtime stops was also very good.
The majority of the riding was on quiet back roads and only the last day along the Amalfi Coast did things get a little focused.
There were 10 people on the ride and I’m pleased to say we all got along very well which is another bonus to the trip,
Too many to mention really but Matera is always an inspiration as well as Castelmezzano. And every day the fabulous landscapes of the Italian countryside.
Our group leader Mateus actually did the ride on a standard road bike, so kept up a brisk pace. A few more photo stops would have been nice. Big thanks to Raphael as the support engineer, he really worked hard to ensure the were fully charged and in tip top order.
I would not advise this trip as a first time cycle holiday but if you have experience with other Exodus cycling holidays then the rewards from this slightly more challenging ride are well worth the effort.
A four day hiking journey that had as much beauty as it had challenges. Breathtaking in every way. Rewarding and overwhelming. The camping makes it that much more intimate with the trail and that much more challenging with the journey.
Arriving at the Sun gate
Bobby was knowledgeable, focused, organized, enthusiastic, Entertaining and serious about safety.
Be prepared for very cold nights and questionable toilet facilities. Otherwise the staff does a great job at taking care of the logistics. Knees take a beating especially on day 4 with the descent.
Lovely trip.
Wonderful companionship.
Museum of Genocide and War Crimes.
Youthful, skilled
Bring clothing for all sorts of weather.
From the beautiful Casablanca mosque, to the awe inspiring Sahara, the timeless Berber villages and the bustle of Fez’s Medina, this trip gives you a full experience of Morocco.
Berber village in the hills. A unique privilege to see how the Berber population live and experience the quiet solitude of their life. The stars were just amazing up there!
Khaled was a delight. Patient, organised and knowledgeable. Always ready to have a laugh. Nothing rattled him, and he did have some challenges on our tour. We were always safe and well cared for.
Read the trip notes! This is not an easy tour. There is a lot of walking, quite a bit of which is on uneven ground, but if you like a weekend hike you'll love this tour. Embrace the experience, and fully explore this wonderful Northern African country.
A thorough and fast paced tour of the three Baltic countries, with a varied itinerary and lots of time in the wonderful cities. Excellent city tours throughout and a perfect guide. Loved it!
Hill of Crosses. Did not know what to expect but was blown away.
Lina was amazing. Constantly went above and beyond. Set up the WhatsApp group before we even started and shared loads of suggestions and tips along the way for eating and sites to visit in free time. Lina is also very knowledgeable and happy to share insights and personal family history. A wealth of experience and information.
There is a lot of walking on this tour, what with the city tours and so many fantastic sites. Read the trip notes carefully to ensure it is for you. Helsinki is a very easy add on at the start of the trip, as it is just a ferry ride away from Tallinn.
This trip had beautiful walks in the Carpathian mountains. Seeing the bears while in the hide was a highlight though. The visit to the bear sanctuary for rescued bears was also very moving. The hikes did require a high degree of fitness. Note that when we booked this trip was a level 2, but the same trip has been reclassified as a level 3, which in our experience is merited. The last day is the most challenging but the last part to the very peak is optional and was only done by a small part of our group. Our guide Sebi was excellent and paced the walk for the group’s abilities. He was also very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and customs.
The bear hide - seeing the wild bears interacting with each other.
Our leader Sebi was excellent. He was knowledgeable and caring.
I had the most amazing experience on the Highlights of the Amalfi Coast tour! The breath taking hikes, fascinating historical sites like Pompeii, and charming coastal towns were made even better by our incredible guide, who shared local insights and history at every turn. The group was small and fun, making it feel more personal, and staying in a family-run hotel gave the trip an authentic touch. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a perfect balance of culture, nature, and relaxation!
The most inspiring moment for me was standing atop the Path of the Gods, gazing at the endless views of the coastline and Mediterranean Sea. The sense of achievement after the hike, combined with the breath taking beauty, made me feel deeply connected to the natural world. Our guide, Severio's passion for the region's history and culture during that moment added a layer of meaning that made it truly unforgettable.
Severio, the tour leader on the Highlights of the Amalfi Coast trip has deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and passionate guide. He has insights into the local culture, history, and nature, as well as his ability to keep the group organized and engaged. His passion for the Amalfi Coast makes him a highly recommended guide, providing a well-rounded and enjoyable experience.
For travellers heading to the Amalfi Coast, pack comfortable walking shoes since the terrain can be steep and uneven. Embrace local culture by learning a few Italian phrases, and prepare for a blend of hiking, historical exploration, and relaxation. Be mindful of the Mediterranean climate, and bring sunscreen and a hat for sunny days. Finally, don’t miss out on trying local cuisine and lemon-based specialties, as food is a key highlight of the region.
