A very friendly and pleasant hotel in lovely countryside, although we didn’t see so much of thatt as we would have liked due to low clouds and almost continuous torrential rain (as much a surprise to the natives as to us Brits!). What was impressive was that despite the real challenges produced by the weather our guide Albert re-shuffled the logistics endlessly so we did actually get some decent walks done, did some excellent sightseeing, and had a lot of fun.

An excellent holiday with a great guide and and fantastic group of people. Vietnam is a country to be experienced as soon as possible.
So many great experiences but I would highlight Hoi An, which I was really looking forward to, and which didn't disappoint and the Mekong Delta experience. The stay at Hue had much more than I anticipated and Ho Chi Min City was significantly better than I thought it would be and the history gave an extra edge to this element of the trip. The Vietnames people were extremely welcoming.
Thuy was fantastic and I would love to go on another trip with him. So well organised everything ran like clockwork and we always knew where we were up to. He shared so much information with us regarding Vietnamese culture and history as well as his own family's story which you just don't get from the guidebooks. He was good at spending time with individual group members and really interacting with them.
As other reviewers have said pack light there is loads to buy very cheaply and it is easy to get washing done half way through the trip. I wasn't impressed with Nha Trang or with the swimming/snorkelling trip there but it was redeemed by the fact that a small group of us walked out to the Cham Towers which were extremely interesting and as I hadn't been to My Son gave a feel of this different culture.
Trekking the Wadi Rum was amazingPetra is a must see
The trek was the highlight
Very good knowledge of the history of Jordan and the bedouin culture.Very enthusiastic and always a nice story to tell
I just can recommend this trip.Maybe stay an extra day at Petra
Really enjoyed the trip with only one or two gripes as follows. I don’t understand why you booked a trip to be in Cuba over May Day. This meant we didn’t get to see any of the parade because we were in Vinales, couldn’t see Che Guevara’s mausoleum and, although I don’t smoke cigars, some people might have liked to see the inside of a cigar factory and there were some very long days on buses although, in fairness, we had been warned.
Loved Havana; nice extra time on the beach which was a bonus; nice food after lots of comments before leaving that you don't go to Cuba for the culinary experience. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the food; almost too many meals on many occasions. The sun was shining, what more could we want! Lots to see and do.
Nice. The driver was exceptional and he didn't speak much English.
Don't lumber yourself with sick people on a trip! For that alone I deserve the £250 vouchers.
An excellent trip with variety, it ticked all my boxes with great mountain scenery and walking, archeology, lovely beaches and at that time of year (Spring) a mass of coloured flowers everywhere.
I think my favouite was the Gorropu Gorge, but also loved the Tiscali walk, visiting the Blue Marino Grotto on my free day and the mass of Spring flowers and in particular the spectacular orchids.
Eric was a good leader, but he did not have a great Knowledge of Italian which I think would have been useful on occassions. He was shadowed by Christine, who will do some of the future trips and she speaks Italian fluently.
I did not have a problem with any of the walking and bit of scrambling on the Tiscali and Cala Luna walks, but some in the group were not so happy and there was a discussion at the end of the holiday whether it was slightly undergraded and whether some parts of the itinerary should be modified. To my mind it would miss out some of the best bits, so I think the holiday should stay the same and perhaps modify the grade slightly if felt necessary.
I would very much recommend this trip; we had lovely scenery – a nice mix of coast, hills and islands; good standard of accommodation throughout; excellent leaders (Michele and Roberto), and a really good group of people on the trip. There may not be quite enough cycling for really keen cyclists; another 10k or so could have been added each day (except for the second day’s cycling which finished with a serious hill) whilst still giving this trip a ‘moderate’ grading.
It's difficult to choose - perhaps the afternoon spent cycling on the island of San Pietro, with the combination of viewing flamingo, visiting beaches and relaxing in the very pleasant town of Carloforte.
Both Michele and Roberto were excellent; probably the best leadership team I've come across on any Exodus trip.
No, apart from go and enjoy it if you like a good mix of cycling and holiday. The only significant diadvantage of this trip was the very late return flight to Stansted.
If you are considering it, BOOK IT, you won’t regret it
So many moments. The guides - Lakpa (apologies for any incorrect spellings), Pemba and Nima are wonderful. Tea in the morning, banter, knowledge and expertise are second to none. Care, humour, everything - faultless. The scenery - has to be seen to be believed - the mountains are incredible. It's very difficult to find words to describe this trip. It is by far the best thing I have ever done. Our group was brilliant - we were very lucky to have an Exodus member of staff with us - thanks to Chloe X
All the staff were great.
Take a metal water bottle - doubles as a hot water bottle at night.I was very glad of a down jacket but layers would have been as good. Do take a good hat. You can buy hats and all sorts in Namche and Kathmandu - I spent a fortune in the UK -wish I had waited till I was there to buy stuff.Go slowly - the best things about the trip are the people you will meet and the scenery - don't rush through it.Take good lip balm - high factor.Egg, chips and beans :-)You can charge phones, camera batteries etc everywhere but it gets more costly higher up. However, not unreasonable anywhere. Fitness - I did Snowdon and a high level walk in the Peak District back to back plus general walking as often as possible. It is hard but there are plenty of breaks and because of the scenery and the group and the guides its ok. Get as fit as you can but don't worry too much about it. Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Typical day - woken by the guides at 7am with "Morning tea". Then pack your kit bag and have breakfast eg - porridge, toast, eggs, pancakes.8 ish ( bit earlier on Base camp day) start walking, usually 1 or 2 hours before you stop for refreshments somewhere beautiful. Its a good idea to take snacks - chocolate, dried fruit. Some more walking. LUNCH :-) Try the Momo's.Either more walking or you will have arrived at your tea house. If you have arrived at your lodge by lunchtime on the way up there will be an acclimatization walk -DO THESE. a) they are fabulous, b) they are really helpful.Lodges/nightime - all the lodges we stayed in were great. Most had hot showers - girls - have showers as early as possible so that your hair will dry. I took dry shampoo also.Take wet wipes.I had planned to write a journal - I managed this for 2 days, too much to do/see/people to talk to.Back in Kathmandu - Pizza Hut - turn right out of the hotel - go to the roundabout, turn right, PH is just across the road. Mango Smoothies! The Irish Bar in Thamel is great.Nervous? - there are 5 suspension bridges - (up and down) - I am a wimp,I hate heights and exposure, I managed them - the guides and the group will get you over them - do not let them stop you doing this trip. Don't look down - I recited telephone numbers while crossing them. They are short and made of steel. Seriously. If I can do them anyone can!!
A trip that was all it was promised to be and more. I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it.

Our group leader was personable, informative, and demonstrated assertiveness when needed in resolving disputes with locals and solving problems. He had a good sense of humor and knew when to allow us time to relax and when it was important to get us moving. He was really punctual, uncannily so and keep the trip on schedule without any real effort. In my opinion he could not have worked harder to make out trip special and I grew to have a lot of respect for him over the duration of our stay. Thank you so much Mustapha.
Travelling can be stressful and going away on your own and planning trips can be a lot of work. I found travelling with Exodus meant I could go away and focus on having a great time without having to worry about how I am getting to the next place on my journey. For an inclusive holiday where you want something different with out the hassle I would recommend an Exodus trip. I will certainly be travelling with them again given the opportunity.
Carol(my partner) and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, which proved to live up to the 5star ratings given by previous exodus cyclists. The scenery is magnificent, the food brilliant, and the organisation by our group leaders Michelle, and Roberto was inspired. The trip is properly graded at moderate, and all in our group managed all of the climbs.
Cycling in the hills of south west sardinia, with sunshine at 25 degrees, and coming across beaches that are pretty much empty at this time of year.Eating sardinian food, with a bottle of Ichnusa...does it get any better!Crossing a 20 metre stream about 30cm deep over pebbles, and being the only one in the group not to get wet feet.....definitely deserved a beer!Watching my partner beat me by about 5minutes on the longest and steepest climb of the week....I've got to get some calf muscles to match!
Michelle and Roberto were brilliant, very attentive to any needs, and total fun for the whole week. We have done numerous trips with you, and these two were among the best we have evr had.
Do the trip!
Well organised, great company, stunning views, lovely hotel and delicious food.
Walking around Pompeii and then up Vesuvius.Ravello and the Villa Cimbrone.
Albert is an excellent leader. Very organised, calm, knowledgable and encouraging. Thanks to his contacts we were treated to warm welcomes and great hospitality everywhere we stopped.
Climbing poles would be useful as there are an awful lot of steps and some uneven paths.
