Burma By Bike October25

Booked in and coming from Oz (Perth) Did Sri Lanka withExodus last year but illness played havoc with my cycling Our tour leader was brilliant and won an award from Exodus.Hoping the Burma crew are at least half as good Hope to hear from fellow travellers Flight arrives before main group, just before,so I will join transfer at airport.

Just checking in and wondering who else is going on this trip making final payment Friday just need to do visa in a couple months

Have changed my details as had big issues with my previous e-mail address and I have had to re-register but paddo was/is me but I will be under the user name freo.Sadly training has not existed due to serious illness in the family but easing back into it from tomorrow. Will do visa next month.

Anyone going on this trip and if so where are you from.?

Hi, we are in!!! Looking forward to the trip, need to get some cycling practice in. We are from england, one brit and one aussie. Tamsin

Great to hear from someone else going Just got back from a ride. After the Sri Lanka trip I have trained and dropped 13kg more would be handy and given no virus or the like I should be good.I was resigned last time to pedestrian cycling with two lovely irish sisters and sometimes struggling to keep up with them.Just my visa to go.Where in UK r u younger times I surfed Cornwall but mainly west coazt of Ireland ps Exodus were really good in Sri Lanka hope this is to

Hi, we aee coming from southampton. I am ftom devon originally so big fan of southwest. I am a little scared about pace and distance but hope to keep up! You coming on your own?

On my own grey nomad is apt profile. You wont have to worry as there will be breaks and I suspect early starts to avoid heat later in the day.Usually have breaks and kms spread over the day.Own pad e is important but people will stop and go often eg take photos talk to a local held up by a parade or traffic crossing etc.No riding for a week foul weather.Going to footy as my local team(fremantle)playing in a national final here today.Loved Cornwall 1996 Surfed the area later years
spending time in southern ireland when I had leave from work back in OZ

Visa battle ongoing but some progress as at least it has been lodged, awaiting the okay.Training maybe completely disrupted by the fact of Freo making AFL grand final and a3500
km drive to melbourne and same return. If we lose tonight that wont happen.Air is out of question due to demand and probability of refuellers striking grand final week.Air fares cost more than a return flight to europe!!!Three of us will drive tag team non stop.Tough cycle yesterday into gale force head wind

I've just booked on this trip - single Brit traveller, F mid-50s. I won't have a chance to do any training for this, so guess I'll need to spend a bit more time in the bus than most (either that, or you may have to hang around for me). Looking forward to meeting others. I'm on the flight from LHR - is anyone else prepared to admit to flying from there on the group flight? In any case, I should be easy to spot - with cycle helmet and bright pink jacket.

Things go from bad to worse as i am midway house sitting for two weeks looking after pets of all manner no hills to ride but time is of use team lost so no expensive melbourne trip visa in order and good to go Karolyn i have decade of age on u so I wouldnt worry Anyone on medication that has a diaretic component may be see your Doc as u cant afford excess fluid loss It played havoc with me in Sri Lanka last year.
