This trip was wonderful, especially after being released from Covid issues. Our guide Tiziano Tomasello was terrific. Very cheerful, helpful in every way. My cousin and I had signed on for the May 2020 trip, which was cancelled and again for the May 2021 trip, also cancelled. Many in our group had tried also. We all were very happy to finally get to Sicily. It rained our fist 2 days so hiking on Etna was strange; due to the weather the cable car was shut down and the top was covered with clouds. But there was a fabulous wine tasting after our wet hike. By the time we circumnavigated the island, Etna was erupting and highly visible from Taormina. The rest of the trip the weather was perfect, the local guides were also excellent. The most incredible site was the Villa Romana del Casale with gorgeous mosaics.
Tiziano is a young man but very knowledgeable about leading a group and making sure all is well. He has been a guide in Germany, France and other places and is fluent in English, German, French, Italian and of course Sicilian.
Try the food in the markets. All delicious. And the gelato is the best ever.
Walking beautiful. Tour guide excellent. Pick up from airport disorganised. Hotel adequate.

Group flight from only one airport; good transportation and support; sturdy bikes; nice cycle routes (puts England to shame); glorious weather; excellent guide with lots of information provided.
Descending from the hilltop down to Lake Garda.
Michele was excellent, with lots of knowledge about the history of places/things we saw, plus a real interest in the individuals in the group.
Try and check the weather forecast just before packing - I took some weatherproof items that were never needed as the temperature for each day hovered around 30C.
I have been on many Exodus trips over the years and this one is right up the top with the others.

Cycling down into Lake Garda. Also the knowledge that our guide, Michellee had really bought so much more to the trip.
Michellee was the best guide we have had on any Exodus trip. He went above and beyond to take care of everyone - no easy feat with a group of 16 people but I feel he managed it extremely well. A very knowledgeable man, great sense of humour. Hard working and a joy to around. There were just so many little extra things that he did to make sure everyone was OK and enjoying the trip.
Hire an e bike for the hills!
Trip with Naxos extension booked October 2021. Exodus forgot to book (1) initial transfer from airport (2) transfers and ferries between Athens and Naxos. First problem dealt with, but if we had not chased up the Naxos transfers on four separate occasions Exodus would have dumped two pensioners with all their luggage in Athens on a Sunday evening without any accommodation or transport. Lots of anxiety and time-wasting with various telephone agents until Alex Keefe sorted it out. But it cost us a lot of time, worry and money.
Local agents Trails Beyond were very good, dealing with unprecedented bad weather, minibus breakdown and outbreak of COVID.

Thank you so much for your review, Jim. We were glad to learn that you were impressed with our local team and especially with our guide, Eva, and hope you had a great holiday in Greece overall. We were so sorry to read, however, about the problems you had with booking transfers from Athens to Naxos for your post-trip extension. We understand that you were in contact with our Customer Operations team, and that they worked diligently to amend the error that had been made and to make additional arrangements that would allow your trip extension to go ahead as smoothly as possible, and that this was fully sorted before your departure and you were not out of pocket. However, we do appreciate that the initial mistake from Exodus made for an uncertain and worrying time prior to your trip to Greece; our Customer Operations team is usually extremely conscientious when processing bookings, and we sincerely regret that our usual high standards were not met on this occasion.
We have been on many exodus trips and they never disappoint but this trip was extra special because of our guide, Michelle and transport Atilla.
Michelle went above and beyond any other guide we have had to make us feel safe, relaxed, happy and literally nothing was too much trouble for him.
His passion for Italy was a joy as was his knowledge and he was so happy to share with us all he knew. He handled a large group of 16 with skill and humour but made us feel as if we were all able to ride at our own pace which certainly pleased us. He took us to lovely restaurants and was so friendly to everyone.
He is such an asset to exodus and we truly hope we have him again on another trip which we shall book because of our experience as exodus hiring the best guides but as I said Michelle is the best we have had.

Just returned from a wonderful 10 days cycling in the Baltics. Absolutely loved it! I only cycle around town so ordered an electric bike which was fantastic. I could have managed without as it mainly flat but wanted to enjoy rather than exert myself. It was great to see three completely new countries and hear about their history and culture. It was incredibly varied: loads to see, wonderful countryside, sea, towns and cities, with swimming, concerts, city tours, boat trip, nuclear missile launch site, and wonderful little places for lunch and elevenses and coffee breaks. Lovely restaurants and food, excellent hotels. Fantastic guide and driver and a very nice group. Heaven.
We all got up and danced to the band that played in the restaurant after dinner one night in Lithuania. But it was all inspirational!
Andrius Mazrimas was just wonderful. He was always thinking of extra things we might like to do and see and improvements to the itinerary. He was really efficient, looked after us all every step of the way with charm and incredible good humour, knew about everything and told great stories .His humour and cheerfulness really helped the group to gel and kept us smiling. He absolutely gave 100% to the trip and to give us all a good time, thank you Andrius!!! Our driver Mindaugas was brilliant too, he kept the bus and trailer always near us and was a real sweetie.
I only cycle around town and don't do much else in the way of exercise. The rest of the group cycled regularly though not fanatically. I'm very glad I paid the extra for the brilliant electric bike, which meant I didn't have to worry about catching people up or being tired.. I could have managed with an ordinary bike but I wasn't looking to improve or maintain fittness on the trip, just to enjoy the scenery. Definitely worth the expense. It was mostly fairly flat but there certainly plenty of ups an downs and interesting paths so it was never boring.

The pure vastness of the coastline
Outstanding - calm, totally customer focussed, with a strong sense of making the trip work for our group as well as individual needs - and a great sense of humour too!
A relatively easy cycle as the distances are spread over a day including stops for coffee/lunch - but therefore time to take in all the info and the scenery - a holiday with cycling in the sun and unspoilt coastline.
This was a great trip. Ruben our leader/guide was excellent – enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The scenery, weather (end May), hotels and food were all super – and the cycling was fun and not too strenuous for people who regularly cycle. The distance cycled was about 40 miles a day which meant not too early a start – and adequate time in the evening to visit most of the places where we were staying, and have a good meal. Ruben’s recommendations for evening meals were ideal. The group were also lucky to have Rogerio as the driver and support, who was always keen to help in any way. A really enjoyable holiday.
