Cycling beautiful Albania
This was a wonderful trip with a great group and the leaders were fantastic. Demitri managed the tour in a way that all participants were able to navigae within their personal athletic abilities without being deterred by others. He provided great instructions, organization and historical background. Visi was wonderful in his supportive role. What a special country that is still unspoiled by over development and excess tourism. The people and the land were special and I feel so fortunate to have explored this country and to do it by bike.
Most Inspirational Moment
For me the Working Farm and looking out the window to see sheep, goats and horses froliking was the highlight.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Could not have been better!
Advice for Potential Travellers

Overall is not up to prior trip with Exodus. This trip of tour leader and hotel were just very minimum level. The food is very basic breakfast, lunch – sandwiches were awful and the dinner was very plain and simple no special surprise at all.
Most Inspirational Moment
Hiking is hard we were all tried all our energy to reach finished line.
Thoughts on Group Leader
He was not that experienced yet. Hr tried very hard to.
Advice for Potential Travellers
They all fueled the same things.

Great way to visit 4 countries & their capitals.
A great way to visit 4 countries and their capitals in a short time. We were fortunate to be travelling with a lovely group of interesting people who were all well travelled and fairly laid back. Thus quite accepting of changes.
Most of the hotels were adequate according to the specified grade but Hotel Staadioni in Kussaare was more like a youth hostel with a very poor breakfast.
Most Inspirational Moment
I enjoyed all of the cities and the short walks.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Artus was a pleasant human being but not a great guide. He'd not done the trip before and I wonder if he was called in at short notice to cover sickness. He got us from A to B with a little help from group members and their Google maps.
It would be 4* with a more knowledgeable guide.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Don't be mislead by the title Walks of the Baltic and Finland. It's more a cultural tour of cities with a few short add on walks.
Helsinki public buildings are shut during mid summer weekend.

Walking and wildlife in beautiful mountains
A very underrated trip with a real focus on wildlife, and there is lots to see. The walking is spot on for a moderate trip but there is time to stop and take photos and learn about the area and the wildlife. Trails are good and very quiet. It’s definitely a place to get away from the rest of the world but with a homely hotel with good food at the end of the day.
Most Inspirational Moment
So many moments combined, seeing storks and eagles soaring over the mountains at the same time! Walking through meadows and stopping to watch a fox that didn't care that we were there.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Julian was excellent, we were privileged to have a wildlife expert as a leader. It felt like we were getting much more out of the week than just a walk. His passion for the area shone through and his way with people made us into a very cohesive group. Days were full but never to long, no one rushed ahead and no one felt they were holding the group up. Everything ran smoothly, even with a few adaptations, and that doesn't happen by accident.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Take binoculars, there is a lot to see. Take a sandwich box for lunch and a small knife and fork if you prefer salad to a sandwich (the regional specialities for breakfast are also great to take for lunch (this is allowed!)). You don't need to take extra food, there is plenty and it's delicious. Take waterproofs (if you do get rain it by no means detracts from the trip and you can easily dry anything that does get wet). Enjoy being in a group which enjoys walking and wildlife!

Great leader, great group, great trip
Anders and Flo provided a great support on this trip. Beautiful walks, breathtaking scenery, great accommodation throughout. Perfect balance between walking, sightseeing and down time.
Most Inspirational Moment
Glacier walk, hike to Molden with some amazing views of the Sognefjord, Stave church to name a few.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We couldn't wish for a better leader. Florian was very helpful, approachable, inspiring and knowledgeable. Nothing as ever too much trouble and he was a pleasure to talk to.
Advice for Potential Travellers
- take a few thin layers, as the weather may be changeable, even during the day.
- enjoy the amazing fjords and embrace the cultural heritage of Norway

Great way to see Sicily
The itinerary was very interesting. I learned a lot about Sicilian history and culture. The riding distance each day was perfect, considering the challenging hills and heat. Wonderful riding leader and driver. We were well taken care of!
Most Inspirational Moment
Accomplishing the climbs in the extreme heat and without an e-bike
Thoughts on Group Leader
Paolo was a great leader, kept everyone together well, and gave us excellent information about the countryside, history, and what to expect.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Lots of sunscreen!

Trekking the Inca Trail
I really enjoyed this trip despite suffering from some serious altitude sickness. We had excellent guides and although I’m not known to be the best camper, the team made it as comfortable as it possibly could be and the first views of Machu Picchu from the sun gate made it all worth it!
Most Inspirational Moment
First stepping foot in Machu Picchu after a grueling trek.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Wilmer was fantastic. He provided excellent information and kept our spirits high when the trekking was difficult, even carrying my pack for a bit when my altitude sickness was at its worst.
Advice for Potential Travellers
At one point this trek was listed as moderately challenging, but I developed severe altitude sickness and this made the hike to Dead Woman's Pass at >14,000 ft highly challenging. If you know you are sensitive to the altitude talk to your medical provider about medications for altitude sickness and adjunctive medications to help with the symptoms or reconsider this trek all together.

A great fun group tour
Our group was fourteen on an excellent new minibus. None of the days driving were too long in distance and the roads were mainly excellent.
The weather in early June was hot (28/32 degrees). Stunning scenery and very interesting archaeological sights, incredible ancient churches and mosques.
Good food although variable. Hotels were good, some excellent. Albania is a rapidly expanding tourist destination with huge coastal developments – go now.
Most Inspirational Moment
We loved Korce, Permet, Gjirokaster Castle and beautiful Berat and finally Kruje - there were not many places we didn't like!
Lunch with a family up in the mountains was relaxed and much appreciated.
Towards the end of the holiday it was fantastic to swim in the sea at Porto Palermo
Thoughts on Group Leader
Ed (Edon) was a very enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable guy with boundless energy. Briefer info stops would have been appreciated sometimes as he did ramble on occasionally but great historic and current day insights including tales of his growing up. Super rapport with our driver Dui (DiDi) who was super - a brilliant, careful and safe drive but also helpful, kind and funny and he kept an immaculate bus :) What a team.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Two extra night in Tirana at the start is good. Take a cooking class (book through Viator - class with Sindi) and a trip up the mountain cablecar. Prepare for hot weather with sun umbrella and hats. Medieval streets are sometimes steep shiny cobbles so have shoes with good non-slip treads.
Possibly a walking pole if unsteady. Get your currency there and be prepared to pay cash mainly. Take Euros which are widely accepted or can be exchanged.
Prices are rising and it is no longer a cheap destination.
If you are adding an extra day before flying home then stay another nights at the Panorama Hotel -great hotel, rooftop pool and lounging area and right by the Bazaar and restaurants.

Fantastic trip from Porto to Lisbon
This was our first trip with Exodus and will not be our last! This company is very organized down to every detail. The description of the itinerary is very accurate, the hotels very nice , the Trek bikes were great and each bike had a handlebar bag for phones, sunscreen, snacks etc.
Our leader João was superb and made each participant feel welcomed, and cared for no matter the skill level.
João stopped to show us things of interest along the way each day, giving us the history and facts of which we would not have learned if we had travelled on our own.
João did briefings each day, so we knew exactly what to expect and a debrief at end of each day with a well organized power-point presentation.
He helped with dinner suggestions and even made the reservations for us.
His enthusiasm and love of his job made it a very enjoyable experience.
Also, Ricardo who was our other Exodus support person was superb! He cycled at the end of the group providing encouragement and support! Ricardo was always smiling and always available for our needs as well. He was a fabulous back up for any individual who needed help. We cannot say enough about Ricardo and how he helped to make this such a great experience for us!
The third Exodus support person was Toni! He was so kind and thoughtful and made the most elaborate picnics for us. He drove the van and met us at various check points so we had access to our belongings if we needed anything. He had water to fill our water bottles and was available incase someone needed to have a van drive if they weren’t able to bike any portions of the day.
These 3 individuals made the trip so wonderful for us!
The itinerary is accurate in that the description of the steep hills toward the end of day 3 , really were steep! Also the long steep hills on day 6 were as described.
We used pedal bikes and managed fine, we are mid 60’s but we are runners and in good shape. The first two days were flat and very easy for any skill level. The steep hills on day three at end of day were challenging on a pedal bikes, despite our good fitness level. However, we would do pedal bikes again despite the steep hills, it gave us a sense of accomplishment! E-bikes are available to people to sign up for prior to the trip.
The views were stunning along the ocean.
We were so impressed by this company, their attention to detail , their efforts to decrease their carbon footprint and we highly recommend Exodus to anyone.
We are already looking at idea for our next Exodus trip !
Most Inspirational Moment
Beautiful views along the ocean

Great leader, great group, great trip
The Team of Joao, Ricardo and Tony provided great support on this trip. There were some beautiful coastal views, lovely boardwalk cycles through nature reserves and the excitement of short ferry rides across estuaries. With the exception of Porto, Lisbon and Obidos, the places we stayed overnight and where we had coffee stops felt like the ‘real’ Portugal as there were no other British tourists. Joao’s restaurant recommendations were very good – I had a week of delicious fish and seafood (meet and veggie options also available). The Pastel de Nata at the coffee stops and at some breakfasts were also delicious!
Most Inspirational Moment
The view of the sea and Obidos lagoon from our final coastal vantage point was stunning.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We had high expectations for Joao who was our group leader as he had won Exodus Leader of the Year in 2024. He didn't disappoint. From the very beginning he instilled confidence and credibility. His briefings were very clear. He gave us insight into the local culture in an interesting way. He was aware of individuals' needs and addressed them. He had a great relationship with the group, a good sense of humour and really made the trip fun.Thank you Joao
Advice for Potential Travellers
The prevailing wind is from the north and should therefore be a tailwind. However, we had a headwind so some days the cycling was a bit more effort.
